I think the real time system would be downright awful. Even battles in the manga and anime were turn based. I'd really like to see cuter pokemon -- the designs just got progressively uglier after Ruby. The newer Pokemon look more like Digimon than they do the first generation.
Not a hardcore Minecrafter, but I've heard that Microsoft if trying to freshen things up by making the Minecraft Marketplace a major feature. I guess people are more likely to stick around if they know they can earn an income from display and selling their creations.
I prefer the Android OS as opposed to the Apple OS. I used to have an IPhone -- the ITunes system made it impossible for me to transfer music into my phone without failing some copyright check. I wasn't going to spend a fortune on buying identical tracks from ITunes.
I actually thought The Simpsons: Tapped Out was pretty good! Although it's still a freemium game at its very core, the game itself is brimming with (very) clever references to the show. There's no part of the gameplay where you don't go 'Hey....didn't this [item] appear in [episode xxx]???'.
Well, casual gaming is still gaming, no? Most of the world's gamers are casual gamers. Not sure if it's a good thing, but most casual gamers seem to be women...
It's a bit less tactile compared to using, lets' say, a mouse but I know a few people with carpal/cubital tunnel issues who rely on joysticks even when not gaming. It seems to remove some pressure off the wrist.
The Silent Hill series. PT trumps them all, though. Five Nights at Freddy's, Slenderman etc are a lot more about cheap jumpscares and anything psychologically scarring.
I think my Dad used to own a really old NES console. One of the games he'd play with us while my brother and I were growing up was this really trippy game where you have to shoot a dancing/moon walking MIchael Jackson.
Yeah, same thing. The publisher used to hand out installation CDs to kids everywhere (with a prepaid cards, too) to get us hooked in. It wasn't as expensive as World of Warcraft though.....
Yeah, and that's when I stopped playing. I literally stopped playing WoW not too long after I bought my horses. I just thought the whole game was too difficult, especially if you compare it to other MMORPGs like Ragnarok Online.
This reminds me of a study I read some time ago...about how countries with temperatures well below the freezing point often produce many metal bands. LOL
Definitely the mechanical keyboard. I seem to make way more typos with a generic keyboard that has flat keys. The ridges of raised keys sort of play into my touch typing. Or maybe it's because I grew up with the mechanical keyboard like most 90s kids, I'm not sure.
