If you could be a character ?

If you could inherit personality, Alistair from Dragon Age Origins. I don't know, I'd love being around myself being him. Plus, you get to wander around with the main character, so adventure is guaranteed and so is that oh-so-sweet gameplay armour. There's some bothersome issues to deal with...

    Gaming addiction

The step from healthy obsession to addiction is a short one to make under favorable conditions. You can be obsessed with a game, think often about it even when you're not playing it, spending a lot of time playing it and overall worshipping it to other people to and still achieve a healthy...

Who Even Plays Their Nintendo Wii?

Haha, glad to hear that, she seems quite the fun type to play with. It looks like she would have a hell of a time with PC gaming, too! I hope she'll manage to build her own rig sometime soon.

    Do you bet on games?

The only betting I've ever done in a game was on Super Smash Bros., and even then I grew tired of it. I prefer playing. In general, though, I hate gambling, even moreso when real money is involved. It's a terrible habit to get into and it can degenerate faster than you can realize it, it takes...

How many games have you actually played and/or enjoyed?

Thanks! Well, I had a lot of free time when I was a kid, and I won't hide that quite a bit of those 100+ games are for older consoles and overall pretty short. A huge chunk is made up of Steam games I bought on promotion, and some indie ones are very short as well. I've just been gaming for a...

    Favorite Death Scene

It's a little hidden. There's a little plus sign in the formatting toolbar, click there and then on "Spoiler".

    What do you ...

Atmosphere. The only games that really felt memorable to me all had well-developed and distinct atmosphere. They gave off specific vibes, they knew what they wanted players to feel like, and this awareness influenced story, gameplay, level design... it gives the game a purpose. And that's what...

Have you ever had a hard drive fail?

Damn, just two years? It looks like an awfully short lifetime for a laptop, even moreso with a motherboard failure involved. Were they new or second-hand? Plus, I know some laptops have overheating issues (mine does), but I didn't think they could go as far as frying unreplaceable components. It...

Have you ever Fall in love with a game character?

Absolutely, freaking yes. Voice acting was phenomenal in Portal 2, even more so than in the first game. It's amazing to think that an actual human being pulled that off. It's hard to choose who did best between GLaDOS's and Wheatley's voice actors, they both made the game for me. So different...

WHAT GAME YOU CAN NOT FORGET?

Yeah, it's surprising how much stuff we didn't even realize learning as a kid just vanish and force us to start over. It's happened to me a few times, too, and it's quite disheartening to think "How the hell did I get worse?". I guess it's more common than it sounds like. Muscle memory is way...

    Cheating Online

Never did and never will. It ruins experience for others and, in the long run, it will ruin yours too by taking all the fun out of it. I hate to see potentially good online modes go to ruin because of cheaters. For a lot of us the only way to play with other people is online, why would you...

Have you ever had a hard drive fail?

Yeah, it happened on one of my old laptops, and that's the source of all my concerns about PC gaming. It broke out of nowhere after 3-4 years, it just refused to boot. I did lose some data, but I was young, so no work files or anything. It did make me more cautious with backups and whatnot, and...

Have you ever Fall in love with a game character?

Uuh, I... I don't think I want to see that, thank you. I involuntarily got a taste of internet being weird in other fandoms, and I noped the hell out of there as quickly as possible. I guess part of her charm is exactly her being a robot. Its "personality" is not overshadowed by anything else...

Will the F2P model end gaming as we know it?

It is certainly a relevant phenomenon, and one we can't easily dismiss. Supporting a F2P game by constantly pumping out new content, thus keeping the user base satisfied and engaged throughout the months and, possibly, years, sounds way easier than investing millions of dollars to produce one...

Name the game you've replayed years and years..

Aside from Pokémon, as I've said, the single game I replayed the most through the years is... Ocarina of Time, probably, either that or Majora's Mask. The first Fire Emblem game on the GBA probably comes close, though. I've probably played it more times over, but the total playtime doesn't come...

How Far Can You Go Just to Play Your Favorite Mobile Game?

Staying up late to play mobile games happens way more often than I'd like to admit. It's nothing insane, mind you, never more than an hour or so, but I still trade in sleep to do so. The "just one more time" mindset is strong in mobile games.

    Side quests

I'd only do side quests if it were possible. Well, maybe not just them, but I love getting lost in a game's universe to explore it and see how NPCs are living, what they need and what they're doing. Side quests give you way more freedom than you could ever possibly get in the main storyline...

What type of game Should we suggest to our parents?

I agree on everything. The only game with motion controls that I'd recommend is Mario Kart. Minimalistic button scheme, not too many wrist twists (that's what I'd be the most concerned about) and all in all pretty fun and easy to follow. Just keep them away from Rainbow Road and it will be fine.

    All time favorite shooter?

Since you said "shooter", I suppose I can go with both first-person and third-person games... oh, who cares, I just came here to praise Ratchet & Clank once more. Wonderfully crafted to fill the screen with bullets, beams and bolts and still make it feel fun as heck. It's the series that made me...

Still possible to find a GameBoy Advance?

My pleasure to help! The GBA is a wonderful console and I believe everyone should give it a shot. Just a couple more advices that popped up just now in my mind: first of all, only the original (fat) Nintendo DS's charger is compatible with the GBA SP, not Lite's. Every charger from the DS Lite...
