Typically, I like dark themes. But some lighter ones can be great too.

Yep, still better than what I can do, but needs some work. for the text, you should choose a color that contrasts the background and the image, because right now, it's hard to read.

You have to enjoy it to be successful. Even then it's not guaranteed. It takes a lot of work, persistence, and patience.
