Hi! As Cuphead has now arrived on numerous platforms, I feel a discussion about this devilishily fun and the satisfying game is in place.
So, what's your take on it? Do you like it?
I really love it, and believe it'll by far be of the better games of 2017. I love how they focused on retro-cartoonish graphics, and at the same time made an increasingly hard game. They do have a "simple" feature for boss battles, but you only really get that satisfying feeling when you do it on "regular" difficulty as it rewards you for your troubles there. Despite raging at the bosses, I keep coming back to them. It inspires me to get creative and stay finely tuned towards how I move my character, instead of doing what I usually would. Which is to go head on and brute-force my way through a boss fight. Here, you actually need to use your brains, instead of muscles and power. No matter which weaponry you have, the bosses has a way to bypass anything, except your creativity. Mainly, as they transform at different stages.
Mind you, I've only fought two bosses so far (not wanting to go too far in, as I intend to livestream the game. It's more fun for viewers if I haven't played the game much beforehand. I've only really played enough to know how the general controls function)
Looking forward to a healthy discussion in regards to this particular game, and happy gaming folks!
