We all know the next generation for consoles is coming, but little has been revealed about what's on the horizon. EA President Frank Gibeau let the public know exactly what EA's focus and plans are for the future.
In a video interview with Bloomberg, Gibeau discusses the challenges with the new console generation approaching. He also confesses to mistakes EA made with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 launches, admitting that EA didn't properly use the technology when they first came out. That's a mistake he's set to rectify by investing in new technology that takes advantage of the power of next generation's consoles.
The biggest reveal is that EA is preparing three-to-five new franchises, while also continuing to perfect their already established ones.
