Introductions make me nervous

Hello all! My name is Vanasa and I am honestly glad to be here. I'm not much of a gamer but I love the process it takes to build and develop games. This is partly the reason why I chose to pursue a degree in IT. Maybe one day I can move from IT and build a game of my own. Never know. Some genres I enjoy are FPS, MMO's, and Simulation, FPS being my top favorite. Again I am not a gamer but I've had a decent amount of experience in gaming to at least be considered an intermediate gamer. I have used only PC, PS3 and Nintedo DS's so far because in a family that is very education focused I was not allowed to have gaming devices. Now that I am old enough to do what I want I can now get into gaming more. At this time my gaming has only been only through my phone but in the near future I would like to get either an XBOX One or PS4.

IT seems like kind of a stretch from Game Development(I am pursuing an IT degree myself), but I'm sure if you have the will you will get there!
