    Favorite Game?

I definitely prefer the old Final Fantasy games as well, but, to me, the characters sort of always had this look about them, so it was something that I just came to expect from this franchise. I think that, despite the appearance of the characters which can be off-putting, the general...

    Favorite Android Games

Jack, I'm with you--I use my phone so much for personal and professional business that I barely have time during the day, unless I am stuck in a waiting room or something, or a similar scenario, to play games on my Android. I stick to playing games on my different consoles in my man-cave at...

    PC vs Console

Personally, I'd have to say that I prefer the console. I totally appreciate the benefits of PC formats, customization, and updates; however, I keep my gaming world separate from my personal computer for business and time-management reasons, and this creates a way for me not to be tempted to open...

What are some good games you can play over and over again?

I actually find that I can play HALO again and again, and I really like Mortal Combat type games just for the mindless fun and violence and the competitor modes with friends and family.

Do you dream about your game?

I've dreamed of Destiny a few times and of fighting hordes of armored Titans and the Cabal, etc. I guess some games can worm their way into our subconscious and really become part of our psyche for a minute...

RAGE or RAGE QUIT: Have you done this?

I've raged quit on Call of Duty a few times...I hate to admit this...but I am guilty. I don't like to throw him under the bus, but my nephew rags out so bad and cusses and throws such a fit that my sister rounds him from playing his games for days until he proves he can calm down and act...

The best games deals that have been found.

Thanks, everyone, for these suggestions. As a player who is returning to gaming after many years, this helps me in building my collection back up and in finding new gaming options on my pretty fixed budget.

    Gaming addiction

I think that it is possible, depending on the person, to possibly get addicted to anything, really. However, I think you should play your games as much as you please until it starts to affect you physically, professionally, emotionally, intellectually, or otherwise. I have seen friends, however...

What kind of video game do you like best?

I think I get the most addicted to RPG games as well. I let my imagination get sucked into the world and the environment of the game. I am currently getting stuck in the world of Witcher, and there are days I have to force myself not to play so that I can stay disciplined and complete more of my...

    Favorite RPG Game?

My roommate recently turned me on to Fallout, and I must admit that it is pretty addictive. Obviously, you and i have some of the same preferences--I am an Elder Scrolls enthusiast, and Fallout also appeals to my sense of epic adventure and the POV experience of a new and fascinating...

    WHY do you game?

goldlady--i totally agree with you here about escaping from reality--the interactive quality of gaming is a hugely different experience than just binge-watching a Netflix series or renting three Red Boxes to pass the time or to escape. I recently went through a bad breakup, and I think there...

Your thoughts on God of War 4 - PS4?

I am a huge fan of this franchise, but I have not yet played the new one--I am totally intrigued by the Norse mythology angle, though--I love the Norse pantheon, so this really has me interested enough to buy this game at this point--

    Your favorite memories in gaming..

I have good memories of partying with my friends and girlfriends when a Grand Theft Auto would release. We would laugh and bond around this game, and make fun of it to a great degree, but it was always an excuse to listen to "bad" music, drink a few beers, and run around either crashing things...

    Gaming Movies

I have not yet seen the Silent Hill movie, but I do love the game--I think that, after reading this forum, I will look into it. Is it as scary as the game itself?

Do you spend money on gaming gear?

Actually, no I do not. I am a bit of a purist when it comes to this, mainly because I game a lot at other places and friends' houses. I don't want to get spoiled on certain gear that I have to haul around in order to be competitive, so I just use the basics so I feel like I can show up and play...

    Has anyone finished this game?

I've also never heard of this game, but you have gotten me a bit interested in this--like the books in my library, I will probably die before I read them all, so now I have to add yet another game to my list to try to play on limited time, lol.

What are some good games you can play over and over again?

I feel the same way about games like Pac Man, Galaga, Space Invaders, etc. I love these old games, and playing them is an homage to my childhood, and they bring back memories for me, but, that being said, I think there is some merit in playing these rote pattern games in terms of developing...

How do you buy your games?

I am not familiar with STEAM, so thanks for mentioning this here, and I am going to look into that and into humblebundles to start collecting more games. I need to broaden my gaming experience--I was a huge gamer when I was younger, then got away from it, so now I am just getting back into...

    Favorite Game?

I guess I sound like a broken record here, but, once again, I have to sound in about Skyrim. Maybe it is because I need to play more games, lol, but I still have not exhausted my enjoyment with this game. My friend keeps telling me I should play Witcher, but he is afraid I will disappear forever...

How do you buy your games?

I generally order my games online--I do buy them used sometimes, if there is a good deal or find at a Gaming outlet or thrift store--but usually I order them online and I tend to budget a month or so out for upcoming games which I have been excited about or anticipating playing.
