I did the same, I watched some game play footage on the game and thought I'll give it a try! I thought it was incredible!
1) It's linear story driven but at some moments in the game you can choose which order to do certain events in.
2) Well, the game I'd say is 50% combat and 50% a journey...
The first game I played was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare back in 2007 on my old PC, that was when my friends were all playing on Xbox 360 and I couldn't yet afford one. Used to love it!
At the moment, until I can get a GTX 1080 and a new CPU, I'm running:
i5 6600K
GTX 1070 8GB ARMOR OC
16GB Avexir RAM
256 SSD
1TB HDD
Phanteks P400s case
LG 25" Ultrawide Monitor (1080p)
Can't actually remember the rest.

I guess.. I could say Car Mechanic Simulator in some way. As I'm clueless when it comes to building/fixing cars and the game shows you exactly what to do, what goes where etc. and has taught me a lot about mechanic than I thought it would!
First ever game that did it for me was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. I didn't have a console at the time (and nobody ever played on a PC) but we only had a Nintendo Wii and PS2 as our consoles, this must've been 2007 when the game released. So my Dad bought it for me on PC, since then, I've...
