I honestly only buy new games when I really want a specific game. I don't go out and buy random games just to have it I usually have to get really interested in a game to go out and make the purchase.
I used to spend money on gaming gear back when I was into the competitive scene on call of duty. I had bought a scuf controller and a few packs on kontrol freaks lol
I used to experience this pretty often back when I into the competitive scene on call of duty because my team and I would constantly be playing call of duty so it happened a lot especially because I have pretty sensitive eyes.
Lol I think there a lot of useless games out there. I would say one prime example is this game called grass simulator where you are literally a blade of grass that is in the ground and you watch yourself grow.
Maaaan one game that really grinds my gears sometimes is super mario and donkey kong because I enjoy playing the game but sometimes dying can get really annoying lol.
I would say that I wait for a discount if it's a game that I don't want super badly. Other games that I'm really into, such as call of duty, I usually don't wait for a discount because it's game I enjoy.
I would say that some benefits are also being able to relax and escape reality for a while. Studies have also shown that people who play video games have better reaction timing so that's pretty cool as well :)
One game I could never stop playing was a game I used to play when I was about 10ish and that game was saints row 2. It was the first open world rpg game I had ever played and the concept was so cool to me and I could not get enough of that game!
I don't sell my old consoles I keep them for sentimental value and to have something to play when I get bored of my current console. A lot of games also aren't available to play on other platforms so I keep them for that reason as well :)
I used to play skyrim all of the time when it first came out. It was my favorite game for the longest time because the game was so good and you could do so much!
I enjoy gaming as way to just relax and take some time myself. I also enjoy gaming to get lost and escape reality for some time and I also just enjoy gaming lol
I think that board games are very underrated these days because they are actually very fun. I say they're underrated because not a lot of people play them anymore and it truly is a real shame.
I would have to say that my favorite gaming company is treyarch because even when these newer call of dutys are not that good they still made a game that was pretty good.
My favorite free to play used to be warframe because it was actually a pretty good game for being free and it was pretty fun. I say it used to be just because I don't play it anymore.
My very first console that was just mine, I got when I was abut 12ish. It was the xbox 360 and I had never owned one that was just mine because we had an xbxo 360 but it was for the whole family.
I would highly suggest renting before buying or playing before buying a game because it could turn out that you don't even like that game and if you try to return it you won't get all of your money back.
I think your headset is one of the biggest components to your gaming setup so I tried to buy one of the best headset and so I own the astro a40s and I use them for pretty much everything and I would highly recommend them :)
There is cheating every where. Cheating doesn't have to be modding or hacking the game it could be as simple as having a friend on the other team telling you where his teammates are.
I have never had an emulator on my phone to be able to play roms but one of my friends has an emulator and it's actually pretty cool how you can play pretty much any old game on your phone.
I can truthfully say that I have owned a very powerful desktop and also a very powerful laptop and even with the powerful laptop games just ran a lot better on the desktop because desktops can be so much more powerful than laptops so I would have to say I prefer desktops. :)
