Considering how far the story has progressed, many people don't have the patience to watch One Piece all the way through. Although I promise you that binge watching it or reading it is worth it. Eichiro Oda is a genius.

Think about this: no manga/anime has ever sustained this much longevity. Holding the attention of your fans for over twenty years takes masterful storytelling. As a newcomer, you'll become more intrigued as you meet the characters.
