Haha, don't even remind me of them. I probably lost a lot of homework due to those floppy disks, thank god they're not around anymore. They were extremely good for games indeed, I used to load a couple of simple ones and sell them for money at school.
Yup, thank technology the USB came along. Even at 128 mb for a cheap USB stick it was an infinitely better option than the floppy disc. They're easier to read, they store more, and at the end of the day you don't have to worry about the file size of your Word document since the storage doesn't have to be so incredibly limited and unreliable that you would have to create backups and more backups.

Officially it was the NES. The Atari was my dad's but he got me an NES when it came out partly for him to play and for me to play as well. He also had a few PCs back then too since he was a total computer nut. It was the 80's, so video games and computers were all the craze to tinker with and the like.

The 80s video game boom sounded fun. I bet the early games, even though it had very short gameplay and basically pixel graphics, were still an amazing feat at the time. I remember playing my first video game as a kid and it blew my mind because it was a lot more fun than having to play with real toys that break and stuff. In games, you can do a lot more things, and that's why I've always been a fan since. It must have been awesome having to see games in their origins and having to play them as they evolved into what they are now.

Honestly it was like magic. Yeah everything was so primitive but it was lots of fun especially with my dad. He was a complete nerd- to the point where he landed a gig with IBM during their reigning years prior to Microsoft's uprising. Even playing PC games with those giant floppies and the later smaller floppies was fun too. Aggravating at times and oh so weird too but totally worth it haha. I learned to read pretty fast because of those games since everything was pretty much text based. I don't miss the crap translations and bad dialogue though... that was like pulling teeth haha. I'm sure there's lots of old timers who have better memory than I do on how much FF1 and original Zelda was like pulling teeth- gameplay and text dialogue wise.

I was 5 years old when I got my first PC and I remember I was 3 when my family bought us a family NES for everyone to play. It was a lot of fun playing Jackal and Mario Bros with my parents. I used to rage so bad because I couldn't play very well but it wasn't until I practiced where I got used to it.

One of the things I hated about floppy disks was the fact they were so flimsy. A couple of mine broke simply by staying in my backpack getting tossed around. It was pretty annoying to deal with them.

Resident evil was one of the few games which really get us fear at early stage. I too encounter with the game my cousin playing with me. He told to play mew kind of games. It will give great fun. I got into trap and started playing. Every time the nemesis appeared I started to cry and ruckus. I felt how the hell I conceded to play. It was a nightmares for many days to follow.

I don't really remember, I was like, 8-9 years old when I got my first PC. But I had a GameBoy before that, well, my brother actually. But we shared it and played some Mortal Kombat and Super Mario on it.

That, and the floppy disc drives on printing shops back then had really crappy reading capabilities. It works in your computer, but since the printing shop uses a crappy old model (even at the time), they won't be able to read your work and you either had the foresight to create multiple copies on different discs, you'll be heading to school with an empty hand and we all know what happens next.

I could remember I bought my first personal computer immediately after completing high school. This was when I first started learning the computer. At this time, I was just 15 years old and was planning to proceed to the college to continue with studying.

I am in my forties, but my father came home, it seems a thousand years ago, one evening with an Atari home gaming system and two games: Pac Man and Space Invaders. At the time, I was in hog heaven--I was about ten years old, I believe, and I was an instant gaming addict without a doubt. I remember the joystick and my first actual water blisters from playing incessantly. I was a little fat kid who stayed indoors a played a bit too much, but I did take up sports later, thank God. Now I have returned to some of my old gaming addictions, but I promise I am trying to moderate.

My first gaming console was in 1984 or 1885. My parents bought me a NES and it came with Super Mario and Duck Hunt. I'll never forget the day my parents brought it home. My brother and I were eating at the dinner table and my parents said they had a surprise for us after dinner. And I am think ok we're going to the movies. And boy was I pleasantly surprised when my brother and I opened the NES. It changed my life forever!

I've had almost any console, from Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Play Station, Xbox, and the personal ones like Nintendo DS. Which means that I've known gaming all my life. In fact, my first console that was the old Atari, died literally smoking out, my sister and I burned it while playing day and night.

I had my Gameboy SP when i was 7-8 years old and got my personal PC when I was 12 years old and i was currently at 6th grade. I pleased my parents to buy me one cause my friends have their own and others play of internet cafes. My parents don't like me going to cafes because I'm too young and can be at risk for troubles and accidents. So they bought me one and I was so addicted. That's the time I started to get addicted to games.

If I don't count my brick style handheld gaming console (Nintendo Game boy) which I have had even before when I went to a school, then my first regular 64-bit gaming console was also from Nintendo (Nintendo 64) which was bought by my father for me when I was around 10 or 11. I still have that with me in the working shape, but I rarely play games on it now. I do play but mostly for giving it a tribute. It was a fine console at that time and every gamer wished to have it with them...
