The change from a 15 inch laptop screen to 22 monitor was astounding. I had more options in resolution, and so far haven't had to rely on the Borderless Gaming program to resize games in hope of an FPS boost. I don't have to worry about the heat the laptop, which after 3 years requires a cooling pad for even office tasks.I've never played games on my laptop (well not proper games like PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds but more things like 8 Ball Pool ). I've never really bothered looking for a computer that has specs that would be good to play games like FIFA, Battlefield or GTA. The fact that it is quite expensive as well to buy a top end gaming PC puts me off purchasing me but I will eventually buy a gaming PC one day. And when I do I will make sure to go for a Desktop. I feel like gaming on a laptop would just be too weird especially considering how small the screen is. With a desktop, you can get a massive monitor.
On a performance level, desktop all the way. There might be good gaming laptop, but they will never, NEVER, be good as a desktop PC.
But laptop can be useful if we can't have a desktop for any reason. For example if we are currently far from home... It's my case, for example. I'm currently using a laptop - a Lenovo Y50 - which is pretty decent, I admit it, but I miss my home machine.
