Do you have to complete a game 100%?

It really depends on each game. There are some that I absolutely must get 100% and I decide that before even starting to play (for example, some RPGs like The Witcher 3) but then there are games that I just do things for enjoyment. I am not trying to get the 100% or anything... I just play till I find it fun.

I really believe that games should primary be about fun and not about getting all the achievements. That's just the cherry on top. I do admire those achievement hunters that get every single game 100% completed though. That takes a lot of determination.

Do you like to get 100% at every game? Personally, I do not start by trying to obtain everything, but if, after I have completed the game, I am bored and want something to do, then yes, I will go back and try to complete the game 100%. In some games it is different though. For example, I play every Pokemon game until I have got all of them Pokemon (except special event ones of course).

Well, I always try to complete any game I play 100% but most times it seems impossible because of the nature of the game. I love playing difficult mission games. Sometimes, I have to sleep over on a mission level to think strategically on how to finish that particular mission.

Playing Frontline Commando gave me a hard tough time in completing my mission levels. It's the most difficult game I had played.

I'm a completionist so I 100% most of the games I play. That said, I do not force myself to complete a game if I'm not enjoying it. Usually when a game is not clicking with me at the beginning, I give it 3 or 4 hours (depending on the length of the game) because some games take more time to get going. If after that the game isn't grabbing me, I stop playing it. On the other hand, if I get hooked, I will plough through the end, squeezing every bit of content the game has to offer.

it depends on the types of games we are playing with. Some games are easy and we can get 100% by completing them. But nowadays most of games are coming like never ending.Everyone try to complete the game to its end but somehow we fail to do it. Because of the complexity of the game. Some others we are prone to complete till 100%.

Yes! I like to complete 100% of it to find out what happens at the end of the game. I do this for most of the computer games I purchase.

I have to finish everything 100% or at least try. When I start a new game, it doesn't matter what kind of game it is, I got this need to collect everything and explore everything that can be explored. Thats especially the case with games like Assassins Creed, where I run around and collect everything, and then focus on the main missions.

I think the idea of "missing some quests" is good too because you'll want to play another round just for those things. If you complete EVERYTHING in the first round, you would have no reason to go for a second one, which really chokes the life of the game if you think about it. You'll get bored pretty quickly after that.

As long as something doesn't start to feel repetitive than I will usually play it to 100% completion
A couple games I completed 100% were
Half Life 2... Actually that's it... My life is one big lie!
Their were some old Wii games I can't remember the name of too.

I really don't like completing certain games because like Mace said, it gets repetitive. I've only completed a few games fully, which the games are:

Fallout 4, GTA San Andreas (PS2), Lego Star Wars full saga, Lego Star Wars the Clone Wars, Half Life 2, and COD games.

Other games however I don't find it satisfying to play forever due to it being boring or just old... I only completed Fallout 4 side missions because I was bored as hell, and had nothing to do..

I like to at least try and complete it 100%, if not I try to complete most of the game. For example when I completed Skyrim I left out a lot of the side missions. At the moment I'm playing The Witcher 3 and completing the entire game!

I've not played any game till it reaches 100% not because it is my wish but as a result of the fact that it is always hard to pass some levels in the game. I was playing candy crush last few months and it got to a point that I could cross and that was how I lost interest in the game as well. I've got friends that play some games until the end and they also say that it is possible, but I don't see myself stressing myself to do that.

If it's an addictive game, I really won't to be competing it 100 percent because the moment I do, I would lose my interest in playing it. Having completing all the mission in a game would make it a very boring game because you already knows how the game ends.

I prefer games that are unending no matter how much you think that you have actually progressed in the game, it would just be as if you are starting a new game with you are not.
