Virtual reality games have emerged left and right. There are VR games on the PC, there are those available for home consoles, and there are also VR games on mobile. The thing about VR is you have to put on a head gear (usually called a VR box) in order to play these kinds of games. And instead of just sitting in front of the TV, you'll be twisting and turning and moving. Just like pewdiepie shown above.

I play games when I want to relax. I don't want to be moving around when playing video games. I don't want to keep moving my head just to follow the action. That's why I'm not into VR that much. I like it, I just don't want to play VR all the time.

What's your take on VR? Do you like it?

The idea of virtual reality for video games seems to be the future of gaming for me. Although the only barrier that is hindering most people from getting VR equipment is because the equipment is rather expensive. It's not accessible to everyone in the moment. Until other companies compete against Oculus Rift, it is unlikely that the playerbase of virtual reality games will increase.

I'd like to try virtual reality games someday though.

This, sadly, might just be true. It's a nice experience when done right. But just imagine a world where all the people are wearing VR headsets... That would be just so weird.

VR equipment for the PC and home consoles may be a bit hard on your bank account, but VR for mobile is pretty affordable. There are a lot of VR boxes being sold for only a couple of bucks at toy stores, gadget shops, malls, and online shops. If you browse the Play Store, you'll find several games and apps that are intended to be played in VR which are free.

VR is too expensive for me to try it out now. Also, it's still young and on a experimental phase: at this time I have no idea if it actually have future, or if it will die like 3D movies. If it became something serious and well-integrated in gamers' lifes, then yes... I'll enjoy playing it, I'm totally up for innovations! But it must be used right. Otherwise, we will forget about it soon.

i wouldnt say love but i guess it's okay. I dont actually see myself playing it for like hours on end but i'd play it casually i guess. i always thought VR would be so damn awesome when i was a little kid and now that it's a reality i guess i'm a little bit underwhelmed. Also, the fact that i have motion sickness doesnt. an hour of VR gaming would leave me puking. I dont know mybe i'll give it a try again someday.

I would love to try it out because I'm really interested in this. It's still expensive to get it and it's hard to find cheap VR boxes for phones here. If I find it at a reasonable price I might get it just to see what it's like to play in Virtual Reality.

I've tried using phone VR like Google Cardboard but it lacks complex games that have a real story. I'm excited to hopefully sometime in the future use a real VR system like the Oculus, Vive, PSVR. Price is really the only roadblock for mass adoption of VR. It costs several $100's just for the VR hardware then you need the hardware to run the VR and then you need the VR games. Once the price comes down a good amount I'll be happy to try it.

Honestly that just seems scary. I'd sure love to try it, but I don't think I could do it a lot and I doubt I'd actually like it. But out of curiosity, I'm sure I'd go for it at least once.

Right you are. Currently those available for Android are fairly short and not really that immersive. But with the availability of VR boxes all around right now and the constant support for it by game developers, I expect the content to increase stylistically soon enough. Maybe by year end, there would be a ton of worthwhile game on mobile for us to play. Then again, I don't want vr to be the norm. It is a nice complement to regular gaming, but would not be a good replacement.

Probably not; lots of reasons why though, motion sickness for one. I easily get them from first person games. Biggest offenders for me include the Talos Principle, Dishonored, and for a bit Fallout 4. I got insanely dizzy when the response time between the mouse movement and the camera movement even has the slightest delay. It's like a hand - eye coordination thing, so if I'm gonna play VR, it's gotta be good in terms of response time and controls.

I remember the first mobile VR "game" I played was a "horror" game that was basically you sitting on a couch while stuff happened around you. You couldn't move or interact with anything and lasted for around 2 minutes. Essentially a 360 video.
