Do you own a knife skin?

I do not have a knife skin currently since I believe that it is not worth the money that you spend on it. If you're trying to open cases to get a knife, the rates are so low that you would most likely be spending more money on keys and crates than what the knife is worth. The knife really doesn't enhance your playing experience, other than to look nice, which is why I think it's kind of a dumb idea to purchase a knife.

I don't have a knife skin. It costs too much. I hope i will have money to buy it in the future. Or maybe it's too much to hope but maybe one of my friends can give me one for another item from my inventory.

I personally did have a knife skin which was a Butterfly Knife Stained (Field Tested) but ended finding a knife and skins overrated and began to sell them all to get better games. I don’t see why people buy super expensive skins in lower ranked games (Silver-Gold Nova) and I don’t see the fun in having skins as, in my opinion, my money isn’t worth turning into a bunch of pixels.

It is incredibly annoying when video games do this. Valve games are even worse at it, considering they have made profit from custom gun skins, hats, gloves, character appearances, map appearance, announcers, voice overs, and making a world of items where rarity would make you pay for $100+. And these are for in-game items. You can't touch them in real life, but they cost more than their real life counterparts. How messed up is that? And these games are purely for aesthetic purposes. They can't help you win. But for the sake of bragging and feeling superior to others, I guess that's something worth spending on.

In Elder Scrolls Online, you can actually buy a virtual cat companion (house cat) for about $10 or so. I'm pretty sure adopting a cat from the store and getting it cat food would cost less than the stuff you get in this game. It's amazing what people will buy for their virtual selves on games online.

Totally agree with you there but at least it's not pay to win eh? Many games out there do sell items AND victories to the ones willing to spend their hard earned cash. One of the main problems with today's gamers if you ask me. Good were the days where a gamer had to conquer his software by his effort alone!

I'm sorry but what? They're aesthetics. They don't give you any bonuses. If you have the money to spare for it go for it. No-ones forcing you to, it's not like there's a p2w scenario in cs.

I used to have a few of the cheaper weapon skins, my most expensive being the AWP Hive Factory New, but there is no ways in hell I'm spending that kind of money on a knife. Perhaps one day when I'm rich I'll do it but at this stage, its simply not worth it. But hey, if its your hobby and you enjoy that type of thing, by all means, go ahead!

Don't have any skins at all, they are just for aesthetics and do not make you better. They only cost money that I would rather spend on other things.

Bought one to make money by trading it as I was saving up for a monitor. Went decently well, made about 5$ per trade and figured out when which knives will drop or rise in price. And then the disappointments came. I made about 50$ profit on paper, but that's not exactly what I got... Everyone was selling their knives with a 20% discount, so I had to as well. And on top of that, the site charged a 10% sales fee and a 3% cashout fee. I wasn't exactly left with much profit.

They were referring to OTHER games that had this system. Yes CS:GO is purely based on skill, and aesthetics come second. But where games that some items that you pay for give you physical advantages (eg sometimes Garry's Mod servers, LoL with skins that give better animations) you see this issue coming into play.

Nope.. i like playing games but i dont like it that much
Lol you better stay away then; online communities in these games, especially competitive ones, are incredibly toxic to the point where you will either drown in it and leave, or you become like them and flame newer players when you become the veteran yourself. It's better to just stay away or at least just play casually; you wouldn't want to mess with people who treat ranked games like their lives depended on it.

I haven't owned any so far but if given the chance to buy one, I still would not. I'd rather acquire one through a drop and it depends on the skin whether I'd sell it or keep it for myself. The knife is just that expensive to buy directly so it still isn't worth it since you won't be using the knife that much against the opposition. I would prefer skins for my gun rather than for my knife.

I don't have one and probably will never have. I'm not that much of a CS:GO player because I am not really good at it (I still love First Person Shooters though, more if they're multiplayer). I joined this one event though from some website that raffles a knife skin(don't remember much about it anymore, this was ages ago) and well, I did not win. Not that I expected to win anyway haha.

I used to be a cs go, trader.I would use sites like csgolounge and the Cs trading page on Reddit to do from nothing to knife. I traded from pennies to about 5 dollars and my inventory kept growing.I had a friend who was doing the same thing so to make trading quicker we pooled our money. We traded all the way up to 50 keys and whilst doing so, I got to try some knives. I have to say I wasn't really impressed. I would rather own a variety of skins rather than just 1 big item,

Right now I have a Karambit Urban Masked Field Tested. I have been trading around with them recently. From what I can remember, my other knives were an Urban Masked Butterfly, a Falchion Slaughter and a Bayonet Blue Steel. I would personally rather have an assortment of nice skins, but from my experience so far it is easier to trade with a knife. Despite all this I do think its a little dumb to buy a knife, unless you happen to have some extra money laying around.

I only have one knife skin that I got from a case and I was super hype about it because it was my first real good pull from a case so I've kept it. I had gotten one the other day but I ended up selling it because I didn't really like it that much.

I have a butterfly knife BEFORE! why before? I lost it in a bet. NiP ( Ninjas in Pyajamas ) lost 3 consecutive games which i bet all of the asimov guns along with all my knife. I remember the game was VS an unknown team. i think NiP sold the game. i have also read most of the forums and later, at the end of the day. i knew they really sold the game. it was heartbroken, it made me quit playing for 1 year because of it.
