You waste on things you never end up using. Tsk tsk tsk. You should most definitely get started with a few of them, whenever you have spare time. I'm sure with all that money spent you'd be able to come up with something at least. :innocent:
Agreed!

My first ever game was a 2D Pixel-RPG game.
I learned how to construct it bit by bit and ever since then I've been interested in game development.

I was into RPG maker some years ago, I made a bunch of prototypes, but never really got around creating a finished product. I always ended up thinking it wasn't good enough, game design-wise and story-wise, so I just ended up dumping them and making a new one and feeling the same way again, until the cycle repeated over and over again. So I just gave up. Now I'm trying to learn Unity and hoping it won't go the same way as it did with my old prototypes. lol.

I've never made a game. I'm certain I don't have the skills, but even so I've picked up a few programs, see how hard it could be with some tools... just haven't made time in my schedule for it. I did use to mod for a game somewhat like 10 years ago, so I'm not completely lost as to what it involves.

A few friends of mine have made games, though, they're actually promoting a great little game they did on Greenlight. I wish them success, it's certainly no mundane task, making a game.

I'm actually learning GameMaker right now. I used GM when I was a kid and the best I could do back then was sonic the hedgehog platformer using animated sprites. Even though all I managed to do was make sonic jump around and collect rings while moving across the levels, it felt like my biggest achievement at the time. I'm ready to build up on that previous knowledge now and I hope I can make a complete game now lol. Maybe after that I'll try to learn Unity but I'm trying to focus on 2D at the moment until I'm comfortable with it.

I am currently in the process of designing my own DS game. It's a simple homebrew game and is being made using the DS Game Maker. It has an interface similar to that of the more known Game Maker. It's going to be a platformer game, made with my own character designs.

I have made quite a few games already but my first one ever was 2D Topdown based off on an anime called Naruto, this was like a few years ago, I used Byond (Engine) built in language which is called DM.
Then later on I started to use Slick2D + Java and in these last 3-4 years I have been using Unity3D as a hobbie and freelancing jobs.
I might make some programming or Unity3D tutorials! ;)

I haven't created my own game, but I always wanted to. I find it pretty fascinating. When I was in college, there was a video-game-development class that I used to pass. Everyone in the classroom was working on their own game style and I could have just sat and watched for hours. The amount of effort that goes into a game is incredible. I think I enjoy the idea of bringing stories to life.

I've made a few of my own games, just playing around and not really professional though. When I was little I loved playing with RPGmaker, and when I was older I liked making visual novels in Renpy as a bit of a hobby. I'd like to be able to get my stuff out one day though.

I've made a few games during my programming classes in high school, but currently I am now a project manager for a horror game being developed on the Unreal Engine 4.

Does a rushed together final year project for college count? It was a fully functioning text-based adventure with crude graphics, I swear there where no game breaking bugs anywhere at all in it.

I used to make small fangames in RPGmaker, but then life caught up to me. I really liked the programme and it was easy to use, but eventually glitches and other obnoxious things stopped me from completing these games a little while before finally ditching the idea completely.

Me and my friend tried doing that a while back. We had a cool concept and all but had no way of actually implementing it. Unfortunately, at the time we lacked the programming skills required. Right now, I am working in collaboration with my cousin to place a game on the android app store. I'll keep you guys updated.

I've coded a few short text adventures in JS just for fun. I'd like to progress to Flash and Android games, but at the moment I don't have the necessary equipment and resources for that so it will have to wait.

I'm collaborating on a CCG with some friends. I'm doing the design side of things, coming up with the card ideas and such, and my two friends are creating the game. At the moment it is still in very early stages and not playable, but I am extremely excited about it. I wish I knew how to help with the software side of things, so I've started to learn how to code online, though I doubt I'll become skilled enough before the project is complete.

That sounds dope! Would love to hear more about it when it's farther along

Not really, but I have tried making one but it was not really working, the initial plan was to make a strategic game but it was unable to be successful, so I have not really made any game
