What is your number 1 favourite video game series?

Mine is The Legend of Zelda. :D

I've been playing this series for years and have completed every released game in the series so far. The first Zelda game I played was Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64 and the one I played the most recently in Zelda Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Wii.

I enjoy the Half Life series. So many to pick from however.

I don't think i could ever name a #1.

I love Fallout and Skyrim but only the newer ones, I've never played the older ones especially the older Fallout games when they were point and click.
So instead i'd say Halo, but then again i'm not a fan of the past 2 games in the series so yeah. ^^

Or maybe the Counter Strikes, i've been on and off them since 1.6 but it isn't really a game i would say is my Favorite, just one i've put lots of time into.

Either the Modern Warfare series or Halo, I enjoyed both and would say they are my favorites.

Danganronpa, for sure. I love that series so much.
Second to that would be the Persona series, and third... probably either Rune Factory or Pokemon.

Edit: So, I've changed my mind - my favorite is Persona and second favorite is Danganronpa, ahaha.

Final Fantasy. I know. I know. The series is flailing, trying to get up on its feet, overshadowed by its own past successes. FFXIII did next to nothing to help it get back up, too. But hey, at least I know I can always re-play and go back to my favorites FFV, VII, and VIII, due to how timeless these games are.

One series of games that often get overlooked is GTA. This series as been around for quite a while now. I'm sure most of us will have played vice city and San Andreas at least once.

Even though GTA IV wasn't as good as everybody expected, GTA V definitely gave the series a new lease of life, especially the PS4 version.

I am a huge fan of the Persona series. I have already played Persona 3 and 4. I am planning on playing persona 1 and 2 as well later on. I am looking forward to the release of Persona 5.

It'd be a tie between two of the best RPGs I've ever played.

Those are one of the only games I can play for hours on end and not get bored to tears.

I once thought of playing Golden SUn on an emulator but never got myself to actually doing it.

It's well worth it. It became a tad confusing at some parts but for the majority of the game it's pretty straightforward.

If you recommend it then, I will play it. I was simply worried that I would waste my time over it but you proved it to be the opposite. Going to play it now!

In terms of story I don't think I can think of a game that beat Bioshock's Trilogy. Absolutely brilliant masterpiece. In terms of gameplay though, it's a close call between Portal and Assassins Creed. I truly enjoyed both series and each stand out in their own way. I also am a huge Pokemon fans, so there's that. Pokemon is probably the series I played (and will continue to play) the longest, since it doesn't seem to have an end in sight, which is good to be honest because I can't get bored of them.

Portal! There's a Portal and a Portal 2. I liked Portal 2 better because the commentary was a bit funnier (Glad0s and Wheatley, Wheatley wasn't in the first). It's actually a really interesting game. It made me think a lot.

Uhhh...

I don't really know. I'll easily claim fandom of individual games, but as the Metroid series has shown me, claiming that one entire series is, always has been, and always will be better than everything else isn't really something I want to do. Clouds my judgement of quality and all that.

Still, thus far I'd say Metroid if you exclude Other M and Hunters. You also excluded Mega Man and Donkey Kong Country and, well, a metric shitton of other stuff that should be in there. I'd say a poll was a bad idea.

It has to be Assassin's Creed. I have always been a huge fan of the franchise and I'm excited to hear more about their upcoming release.

The uncharted series is one of favorites, plenty of action and each story line is interesting, the graphics are cool as well, the GTA series is another favorite, each GTA game is full of fun for hours.

What is my favorite video game series? Personally, I'd have to say that my all time favorite video game series would have to Resident Evil. I've played them since I was little and I fell in love with them.
