How often do you buy new games?

I usually buy games on sale, but not that often. I buy games that I really want to play and have been waiting for a long time. Before that, I usually play some demos or watch some gameplay videos. I don't like spending lot of money on games, I already have a large library of games on steam, of which, I play 3 or 4.

Games available on steam are an excellent game going option for all of us. Likewise I don't like to waste money by buying games just like that. I prefer to validate the expenditure of every penny spent. For this I do a complete research about the game through all the available portals.

Going over the budget to buy new game is nothing but a depiction of gaming addiction. All of us face this at some moment or the other. But in general, even I cannot afford to buy games at their original price. I always look for good deals and offers. Otherwise I prefer to stay happy and content with all that I have. Moreover I like to lend and borrow games. This keeps my channel moving.

New as in not used? Pretty rare for me- I've only bought like 6 games this year (and most were technically old- PS2 remake old), most of what I'lI play is 'free' from xbox live or playstation plus (technically I'm paying for the online and not for the game and I know Im a sucker for still using them). I am limited in funds but I dont typically buy used games either- just wait till a sale or something since not much really catches my interest to begin with.

All you said is absolutely correct both theoretically as well as practically. If we look around us then we will find many members of the so called "patient gamers" community. Most of us are not lucky enough to have immediate access to every game we want. Patience is a great virtue that is helpful in all aspects of life including playing games. The hard truth is that sooner or later we get access to one desired games.

I also don't like getting ripped off when a new game gets released and it costs $50. No way I'm paying for all that unless it's a 10/10 masterpiece of a game. I'd rather wait a few months or a year until the price gets down and maybe get a few updates and DLCs under its belt. It's a lot easier to decide if you want a game and if it is worth it when the majority of the gaming community has reviewed it.

I love to buy trending games,especially intellectual induced games.I buy the ones that are free less but install free ones immediately I come across them.

Yeah... To wait and watch is the best resort. Even I prefer to gather the maximum reviews I can. In doing great so, I'm able to figure out the need and validity of the game completely. It is only after I satisfy myself and authenticate the need I move ahead to buy it.

Unfortunately I'm not a person who was born with a silver spoon. My money is my hard earned money and I never spend it carelessly.

I usually wait if there is a good sale on Steam, Humble Bundle, Bundle Stars or GoG. First I like to determine priority games for playing and then I wait for discounts. By the time they get to this sites, the price will drop and the developers will patch the game.

I always try playing games that are free xD since I don't like spending money on it.
But I'll say if I really like one it'll be every 2-3 months? I rather just borrow them and since my friends don't mind doing it because they know I'll take care of them I just do that. Also if I decide I'm going to buy it I look reviews to see if It's worth it if I haven't played it before but generally if I'm going to buy it it means that I had alredy played it in the past and it was really good....

Because of that, I don't quite buy games too often. Although a series of games come out every year, I mark a few in my interest/wishlist. But generally, I'll stay in the lane of games I'm already playing. I'm a habitual person. Once I get used to something I like, I normally make it routine.

Every person differs in his gaming habits. Some switch to a new game as soon as they finish the previous one. Whereas there are others who can repeatedly play the same game over the years. It is all because of the great versatility which is offered by the game developers. They have something or the other for every person which can keep them engrossed for a long period of time.

There are times when even I prefer to stick to a few selected games only. That is the time when none of the new games appeal to me. Henceforth, I play the old games over and over again. Playing the whole game again is also equally exciting.

Completely agree with you 100%. With all honesty, I guess I'd also say I'm in a gaming slump for new titles as nothing is really sparking my interest as of late. I'm not saying it isn't a good year for gaming. More so nothing is stimulating what I particularly like. Nevertheless, like you said, everyone is different when it comes to buying new games.

I've done this multiple times throughout my life and it's worked. Just occupying myself with other things, only to come back and sort of "rediscover" gaming in a sense? It all depends on what's out there at any given time. If the stuff I want is coming out rapid fire I'll go on a spending spree. If the current crop of titles doesn't do it for me I may end up almost abandoning gaming for a time. On average I probably go about a game every two months with spikes here and there as I've described.

I agree...Taking a break does great wonders. There are times when family responsibilities keep me away from gaming. Though I miss playing games a lot, but this period of separation helps to rejuvenate my gaming spirit. I start over fresh and with a new zeal. In addition to this, I feel really good to find a couple of new games.

Not very often. In fact I have not bought a single game since two years. Most of th time I play free mobile games, I don't want to pay for a game when I can burrow it from my nephew and brother. The only game that cost me money in the last three years was Mibecraft.

I only buy new games a few times a year. This is mainly because of my work schedule, so I do not have a whole lot of time for gameplay. Also, my preference is for RPG games, so there are really only a few of those that pique my interest every year. Also, games like this, sandbox games you could call them, take up a lot of time to play, so I only have to buy a few of them a year.

Really, really not often. I bought Rainbow Six Siege more than 1 month ago and bough my last game yesterday, which is Killing Floor 2.
I must admit that a lof of games seem to be interesting, but.. eh, don't always have enough money. I.E Overwatch or PUBG.

I used to receive a new video game on my birthday or on Christmas, however that stopped somewhere around 8 years ago. My parents refused to spend more money on video games. I almost had to beg every time I really wanted a new game or console. So, now I just download free games and when I have enough saved money and find a game that interest me I buy it. But that doesn't happen very often.
