Pre-ordering is always a mistake, do not ever pre-order a game, you never know what is wrong and what is good with it, remember watch dogs? The Order? sometimes games promise so much that you never actually know if they will fulfill their promises.

I never tried to order a game... I am picky so I'd buy them in a store.

I would have to say that I don't preorder games that often at all. I usually only preorder the newest call of duty because I always have, it's just been something me and my brothers have always done. Other than that I have not preordered any other game.

preordering anything never go down well with me because I don't want to get angry with my hard earned money,so I have my money with me and buy at once,if it comes with a bonus fine if not no problem, it just fine by me

I used to preorder every game I was excited about some time ago, but after having some bad experiences, now I just preorder games from developers that make almost flawless games at launch. The thing is that most games either launch in a very rough condition (think AC Unity, Mass Effect Andromeda, Bethesda games) or get hyped by games media outlets and turn out to be not so great so I usually wait for the reviews to come out, take a look at how actual buyers rate them and wait for them to get properly patched. Therefore I always end up getting most of my games at a lower price and in a much better condition than at launch; the premium for playing the game early is just not worth it most of the time. Some games, like Naughty Dog games, launch in an perfect condition, so I preorder them to support their development practices.

Never. This has turned out to be a scam in most of the cases. Hype shouldn't sell games - demo's and good reviews should.

I've just preordered three games in my life: Age of Empires 2: HD Edition and Payday 2 on Steam, and Grand Theft Auto 5 on a GameSpot where I attended the midnight pre-release. I don't think I would ever want to preorder another game, unless it's a new Valve or a new GTA, since newly released games today come up with hundreds of bugs that they need to update.and for fully enjoying it you have to wait a couple of weeks, so it's better just to wait for it to get cheaper if you're just not playing it on release.

Most of the times i preorder games that i am sure i won't regret playing them. Sometimes i preorder games based on nostalgia that i really love like Shenmue. Nioh for example was a game i preordered. I have made mistakes for sure. But even then i will try to find something that i like in the game i have bought. I won't go back and exchange it for another until i am sure it does not worth my time. One of those games was Valkyria Chronicles on PC. I preordered the game but i did not like it at first. I tried to play it again and again until i understood what a beautiful strategy game it is. So next time you preorder a game if you do not like it the first time try to play it again. Most of the times every game has a story to tell but that story is not visible to us until we fully understand how a game is implemented in terms of gameplay.

I'm not a fan of pre-ordering even If I am a fan of the director or of the series. It's really a gamble. A game of chance. Even if the game is great why not to wait one or two months to order it? You can satisfy your curiosity on Youtube in the mean time and save yourself some precious money in the process.

I pre-order as little as humanly possible as I consider it unethical. Rewarding a company for having produced nothing is bad for consumers. So is the attitude it fosters where publishers use early adopters as essentially another round of beta testing for software that often has been forced into an arbitrary deadline more so than properly cultivated in-house.

Rarely if ever. I usually refrain from pre-ordering, unless it's a limited edition or it has some very good preorder bonus, since there are not many games out there I feel the impelling need to play on day one. If I do, though, and if it doesn't come with extra fees, I'll preorder it for the early delivery (they have to make sure you'll get it by release date, after all). I can count the times I did so on one hand.

Generally I do not preorder a game. I get the game when it releases and easily available. It ensures the availability and timely requirement. Sometimes we order a game that we wanted it that time urgently but after sometime when some new game arrive we loose interest on the game we just ordered. So it is risky to order a game in advance. I have to analyze the game through reading reviews, watching videos , etc. It takes lots of time to decide upon a game.

I only preorder games if they have freebies or additional content along the original game. I have seen video game shops here that accept preorders for games and most of the time they also give freebies and game merchandise for that game. I recently just preordered a game because I have been looking forward to it for months now and it is going to be released by next week. I believe this is the second time that I have preordered a game.

I don't preorder games that often. However, if this is a really good game and something that I have been waiting to play for so long then I will definitely preorder the game. The only reason why I don't preorder games is because I actually wait for the reviews before actually purchasing the game.

I used to preorder games a lot when I was younger nowadays I don't have that much time to order that many games but I will say preordering early as possible as it hard to get it the same day it is released worldwide.

We really don't have a preorder system here in the Philippines when it comes to games. Gaming stores either have the game you're looking for or not. So for new games we just have to wait for the stores to sell them or the usual thing gamers do here is order online.

Never, as I just don't see a point to pre-ordering games anymore, especially in the age of digital downloads. Companies constantly try to give you incentives to pre-order through stuff like pre-order bonuses, but I just feel that it's a cheap way to convince people to pre-order a title that might not even end up being good. I always wait to see reviews first and then a buy the game. I just don't have enough faith in developers anymore to buy games day one.

It also helps that I'm a PC gamer and I don't consume physical media anymore.

We do have them in the Philippines, especially PS4 and Nintendo Switch games. I pre-order most of my PS4 games if I'm buying a brand new copy. There are lots of freebies included if you pre-order even the standard version of the games.

I don't preorder games anymore, I'd rather hear some feedback first from other people i the game is worth it, or just wait until the games go on sale before buying it, I'm not really in a rush to play any specific game.

Can't say I have ever pre-ordered a game, or anything at all, I'm the type of person which prefers to wait until the game is actually out so I can then check out gameplay of the game and such, especially if it's a game I have never played before, if it's a game which I have played the previous versions of then I will just give it a purchase without checking out gameplay.

The game would really have to be mind blowing to make me want to pre-order it. :)
Even with games such as WoW and such when you can pre-order expansions, I still wait for them to actually be released.
