How to make the most out of YouTube

As we all know YouTube is the second place where people search things...unlike the search engine where people find results which redirects them to websites...youtube results are nothing but Videos which show them a Tutorial, How To Guide, Ideas, Presentation and all other sort of things...and below the video there is a description box where you can put a URL to your website and if people like your video they are going to visit that url for sure!!

So whats the big deal?

The big deal is make videos about the topics you are discussing and upload it on YouTube and see how people flock to your website using the description link...

I have been trying this from the past 3 months for some of my websites and its increased my visits by almost a 120%(Checked through Google Analytics)

We have one video one there that is related to our topic but that is all, I don't know much about videoing editing and stuff like that so I can't really make any videos myself.

Montages, Tutorials, Video edits. Anything that another gaming or technology channel might upload about.

I would always love to do something with Youtube and start my own gaming channel but I am not able to do so currently It sucks.

You can also make videos about Modding and upload on the channel as even that is one Niche of video that is most popular on youtube!!

I think you have to download OBS Studio, Sign up for both YouTube Gaming and Twitch. As you can see that this way things are going to be lot better for you. I think just watching others play the game is thing of the past. Get in there and broadcast your gameplay too. That way you can enjoy more on youtube.

Well you can start by just posting one video. After enough courage you can get another video out. At first just post the desktop version of the gameplay. And then onwards you can also show your face. You can also do twitch. And then post the video on the youtube gaming channel. I hve seen that working for many others here.

The trouble is that gaming videos are the modern definition of market over-saturation. Everyone and his G I Joe figure has a gaming channel. You really have to have something special to make it worth the time otherwise it just gets lost in the roar of a million other gamers who think they're the next Matt Pat or James Rolfe. It's also critical to remember that Let's Play channels usually don't work unless you're already known. There are better ways to drive traffic to your website than a youtube channel which will be far less effort, and far more predictable.

On a serious note, YouTube is no longer new user friendly as you said. The homepage algorithm is crazy/creepy, but in favor of big channels. But what easier ways are you talking about?

Could it apply to a humblr art tumblr I have?

I try to upload gameplay to my channel but I have had a problem with Copywrite issues. I normally respond to the problem with removing the original video, editing it with free music in the background then uploading again. The only problem with this method is that it is time-consuming. I only have a few subscribers. I like to upload because my friends think I am funny so I figured that my content may be funny to someone else. I heard that dedicating lots of time and a schedule would help but it takes years to earn money from YouTube.

Ultimately you have to game Google's algorithm, which isn't as directly predictable a thing as it used to be. Your best bet is to learn how to format articles to take advantage of keywords and search phrases. This will require a lot of investigation and some good sense about what phrases you really want to focus on. And, the hard reality is that purchasing advertising is the single best way to drive unique hits to your page. I tell people who want to build AdSense empires that you realistically need to expect to spend $1000 PER SITE in advertising to get past the "no visitors" firewall. Use tools like Youtube, Facebook, and Tumblr as supplementary platforms. Don't expect them to drive traffic to your site by themselves. They may, they may not, but it's usually not a predictable method.

Note this advice is geared only for people who wish their blog/site to be their main focus. Unless you are successfully engaged in affiliate marketing, your site probably will never be that profitable but can serve as a platform to transition into a successful youtube channel. So, in my opinion, most people have the flow of viewership backwards but I fully acknowledge there's a very legitimate counter argument to one I've presented here. This is just my particular skillset. By god, do not use this post as an excuse to part with money you can't really afford to lose. There is NEVER a time in this business where chance isn't a huge metric and that's only become more true as Google refines its algorithm to favor "organic" metrics over easily gamed metrics.

I have a YouTube channel and one of my videos has about 100 000 views. For me this is an achievement. I hope that my next video attracts more visitors. However, the drawback is that monetization is not available in my country. I hope that it will be soon.
