PS4 Is the new PS4 camera/move worth it?

I had the move for PS3 and did not find it to be useful at all, in fact once its novelty wore off I cried over the money I wasted. The new version is being called "Ahead of it's time," but that may or may not mean anything if game developers don't make quality games that utilize its features.

In my personal opinion, I don't find it very useful at all, man. The only time I used it was when I scanned my face into NBA 2K15. Other than that, it's a dust collector.

That depends do you stream or do you plan on using skype to talk to friends or loved ones. If your looking for a gaming experience out of the camera then dont get it yet because you wont get much out of it. Very few games offer any features or support for the camera so get it if you plan on streaming your gameplay or video chatting with people.

You know I have never even thought about Skyping on my PS4. I would LOVE to see a game that can properly use a camera. I used to play an arcade game, I think it was call Police Trainer, where you would duck and dive out of the way. It was very large and had cameras behind the players so still pretty far off for home use I'm sure. Thanks for the input.

The PS4 equivalent is the Playroom it has some nice interactive game play elements that use the controller and the camera.

For some reason the camera isn’t something I find worth getting. I want to get all the cool stuff for my PS4 that I can, but I feel that the camera would be too limited in use. Had it come packaged in with the console, I may have played around with it, but likely not used it a whole lot.
Hopefully, new games will find creative ways to use the camera and make it worthwhile. But for now, personally, I’d rather wait or get another controller for the money.
I like what you said about it having potential. That’s really how I feel about the PS4 overall right now.

I've never really been a big fan of the camera for any console really. I haven't really looked into it much so I can't tell you much about its features either. I'd recommend only getting it if there's an actual game you want to use it for, if there is none then I wouldn't get the thing.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to post. I managed to get it on sale on Black Friday so I'd say that was more worth it, but saying 60 or 70 at the regular price is a waste when you could spend that instead of a new game.

I personally don't prefer the move just because I'm not that into motion type games. I guess it really all depends on whether or not you like the games that are available for the move.

Hi! Probably too late for the party but here goes. Wow. Good thing I'm not planning to get the camera when I finally buy a PS4 (waiting for FFXV,Tekken 7 and KH3). So there's no games for it yet...well that's a shame. I have a PS3 Move controller but I barely use it. I only have Sports Champions and Zumba Fitness just to try it out but nah I prefer Xbox's Kinect. However to be honest, the only game worth getting the Kinect for is Dance Central 3. Let's go back to the PS Move,I don't want to hold anything when I dance or as for Sports Champions...it's ok but you'll get tired of it eventually. It's a ripoff seeing just a few kinds of sport (only 4 or 6) you can only play. I think the Move is much more suited for games that need weaponry or magic as seen on the demo so it's again a shame no one implemented that in any game as far as I know. If they implemented the Move controller in Final Fantasy, Soul Calibur or Star Wars (btw I have Star Wars Kinect that came with the console and I never played it again...it's weird not having a physical lightsaber and the dance portion makes me vomit) that would be awesome and I might get another Move controller but who am I kidding? It will never happen.

If I'm honest I can't say that I've ever been a fan of the move system from Sony.

I've tried it out a couple of times at a friend's house and it's not really blown me away.

It might be alright for children to have a play with but for anybody else I think it won't get used after the novelty has worn off.

I don't have the camera on my PS4 and I do not feel as if I am missing out on anything by not having it so it isn't something I will go out and purchase - not even sure what it would be used for.

I never used a camera in any of the consoles but I would love to have one for it. It would be great fun to use it. I am not sure that how it works and what is its purpose but I would love to have one.
