Playing online with friends

Do any of you join games such as WoW, Guild Wars, Runescape, etc to play with friends from IRL? Or do you usually find your online buddies in the actual game?

Have any of you ever started a clan/guild for the online game with IRL friends? I myself have never started a guild with any, but have played games like WoW with IRL friends, and girlfriends even.

Also, IRL means in real life (for those that were confused).

I usually play with friends from IRL instead of in-game but I do have some friends in-game.

The only thing is is that I don't have many IRL friends that play games like WoW. Most are Xbox online gamers, and I've always been more of a PC gamer.
So yeah when I found a girlfriend that played WoW, I was like YES! haha

not really, they don't game much or have access to online gaming.
