I've been on the verge of doing it, but I keep my composure because in the end it's just a game and you have to follow, do not suffer nor let yourself be dominated by anger, just breathe deeply and there you will be able to concentrate.

i remeber one time i rage quit from a game called sald and sanctuary a souls game, almost broke my controller i was dying from falling damage like 12 times in a row i hated that game for a while but now all good, while am playing I don't rage it's just a game some people don't understand that they just rage for no reason. I always laugh at them so funny xD.

I am exactly like that! It feels so pointless to get so worked up over a video game. It's supposed to be fun and relax not to make people want to smash their controllers and kill each other haha

There at times when I am playing game and things would not go how I want them to. This is the case most of the time in Defense of the Ancients 2 or Monster Hunter. In DotA 2, you could be a very good player but when you have teammates that are unresponsive and uncooperative, at some point you will eventually lose it and just get frustrated over everything. I'll then just proceed to mute everyone but I won't rage quit though.
In playing Monster Hunter, when I have been playing too long, my reaction time and prediction becomes dull that I get frustrated so much. It actually helps to take rests between games to refresh your mind.

To begin, I am a competitive person in general. Not to the extreme, though I do like performing my best in generally any competition. I wasn't always like this with gaming, though over the years I've become a competitive gamer as I no longer really play for the fun of it anymore. I'm not a sore loser, but I don't take losing well. Normally when it comes to gaming I don't rage, I just simply rage quit (lol). Basically, when the round is coming to an end and I see I'm not going to win after starting off in first. I'll have so much frustration over the game, my gaming setup (controller, PC, etc.) that instead of reacting angrily, I'll just immediately close out my entire screen. The most classic form of a rage quit, in my opinion. It's like my frustration levels reach such a climax that it goes back to neutral. Like a mental safety mechanism, I guess :tearsofjoy:

Offline games, yes. Online games, never. I would never interrupt 9 other players' time in the game just because I'm losing. Some people don't get that it's a team game and with it comes teamwork. Quitting halfway through the game instantly means the team you left is losing 4 vs 5. That's why it sucks that people do that, and part of why I don't play Dota 2 anymore. Offline games I can always go back to at the save spot no problem after I cool off.

Yeah... I have. It always happens at Dark Souls games and Bloodborne. Those two games... holy. It really tests your patience because some of the bosses are so ridiculous. They have 10-meter attack range, they teleport around and hit like a truck. The most frustrating thing is when you have a really high amount of souls/bloods and then you die to some monster and lose all. That's a big rage quit moment for me :)

One time I remember, I was doing a Dark Souls 2 boss and it was literally ONE hit from being dead and I died. I think I didn't turn the game on for around two weeks.
Hahahaha. Hilarious bro. So fun. Yeah I haven't played those games but I hear good stuff about them, in terms of raging that is. XD
I once saw this video compilation of rages when they play Dark Souls and I pity their peripherals but damn it's so good to watch them rage. :D

To this day, I still rage and quit pretty badly haha. Mostly in Battlegrounds when I'm in the last 10 alive and somebody kills me from behind. Think I'll always be that type of gamer.
Haha fun stuff! Is Battlegrounds a game itself or it's a battleground same as that in World of Warcraft? And also, have you ever raged in comms? Like on TS or something. :D

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, it's a game! I've raged hard in Steam voice chat, Discord and a lot in game chat too:sweatsmile:

Oh yes! The PUBG! I've seen that a lot specially from StoneMountain64 (funny guy). I've wanted to buy the game and I was so excited during the steam summer sale but sadly it wasn't on sale. :/

I've raged quit on Call of Duty a few times...I hate to admit this...but I am guilty. I don't like to throw him under the bus, but my nephew rags out so bad and cusses and throws such a fit that my sister rounds him from playing his games for days until he proves he can calm down and act decently. The things he says to people online when he is playing a first person shooter game astonish and trouble me, lol...

I really only ragequit in singleplayer games when I get close to completing a level but don't. It's a bit annoying when that happens, and in some cases I can't bring myself to try again. No actual rage occurs... I prefer to think of myself as level-headed, most of the time.

I have raged and raged quitted a couple of times in games. I think the latest one I've had was in Hyper Dragon Ball Z where I found it extremely hard to beat the Vegeta and Frieza duo. I literally tried for around an hour or more and never even got close to beating any single one of them. I just told myself to hell with it, closed the game, and watched a comedy movie to take my mind off anger.

Have you played Dragon Ball Xenoverse? Because there is a particular sidequest (I even remember what it was, that damn quest 47) which was literally impossible! I never managed to finish it, always rage quitting. You must fight almost all the Z warriors and main characters, and while the first fights (always one vs three, mind you) aren't that bad, later you get owned by Goten, Gohan and Goku, and then Vegeta, Trunks and.. well, another Trunks. They keep spamming their attack on you, it's completely insane.
Never hated a mission in a game that much.

Personally i think the best approach to this is anger management, ones ability to stay calm owing to the fact is just a game and not something to be taken too personal. Is not a do or die affair...just for the fun

This post just reminded me of a game i once played with my cousin brother precisely soccer. I dominated the game from kick -off to the end of the match but guess what? I ended up losing the game that day. I was denied by the crossbar 7 times you know the implication. The most annoying of all, is the fact that i lost by just one goal margin (1-0) his only attempt of the game:emoji-rage::emoji-rage::emoji-rage::emoji-rage:..What a sad moment it was for me, I wished i never played the game at first.

I don't really call mine rage quitting. If i feel frustrated or tilted, I take a break for a few minutes to a few hours to cool off. Its better than playing frustrated or feeling tilted and misplaying a lot which would snowball to more mistakes.

There are only two types of people: those who have ragequit at least once and dirty liars.
I used to ragequit a lot when I was younger, I really had to patience back then. I progressively learned how to deal with frustration (you start to grow thick skin to it after a while), and now it doesn't happen as often, but some games really know how to make you drop the controller to the ground.
Most times it happens to me it's because the game is unfair, or at least I feel so. I can get better and get through any level with enough patience, but if the game itself is making an active effort to make me fail... goddammit, I won't leave it laugh at me like that. It's my way to take revenge against it. I hope you enjoy darkness, game.

What if you are in a middle of a game and it's crucial if you go afk because you might lower your points or rank which you don't like really to happen. What would you do if you are already tilted?

Wait... I think I know what you're talking about. Is this the one where teen Gohan asks you if you'd want to train with him to prepare for the Cell games? Then you'll have to face like 3 players in each map where Trunks and Vegeta pretty much drags my butt on the ground and beats the living snowflake out of me and if I'm lucky, IF I'm lucky, I get to survive with 20% health and then I face SSJ Gohan and SSJ Goku? Yep, definitely raged quitted on that one too LOL, I haaaaaate that quest, I thought it was so darn hard.

YES, YES! That freaking mission! The worst part is that, if you want to finish the Mentor sidequest of.. I don't remember who.. you need to finish this mission, since you need the Z-soul reward from it!
From what I saw the last fight of the mission is even worse on some extent: no more 1vs3, but just a terrific 1vs1 against Goku in his super sayian 3 form. And while fighting a opponent alone doesn't sound too bad, remember that he's a beast. I will forever be stuck at 90-something% in Xenoverse due to that damn mission.

If I'm getting frustrated with a game I usually let out loud a huge yell. Then I start laughing at how ridiculous my yell was and I go and pet my dog. By then I'm usually composed enough to continue playing the game. My yell is like half anger half annoyed in a funny way though. It's hard to explain hahaha. It's like a realize how ridiculous getting mad over a game is so I just need to vocalize my frustration in a primal way to get over it.
