Have you ever done this because the game was not good at all? I have done this a very few rare times.. Like only 5-6 times in my entire life... But have you ever done it?

I've never had to return a game, but I did rent some pretty bad ones which I took back quickly.

tried to do it for portal 2, they told me I could only exchange it, for the same game. So I sold it to friend for $10 less than I paid

The only game that I ever tried to return was Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex. Although I didn't try to return it because the game wasn't good. In fact I have no idea whether it was good or bad, and that's because my PlayStation 2 just would not play it. The disc wasn't even damaged or anything, and was new in a still sealed case. For whatever reason, whenever I'd try to play it, the PlayStation would make a horrific scraping sound and I would get a disc read error.

Damn shop wouldn't even take it back because there wasn't anything wrong with it.

It's never happened with me before, Because before i buy any game i should know everything about it and ask about it from people who played it before.

You mean return to the actual shop? and say what? ''Hey this game blows''? No, I have never done this and I don't think that it's even possible here. They'd never take it back for that reasoning. The only way you could return it and get a refund is if you'd make something up like the game doesn't work.

HOWEVER, I have returned one of the games that I've bought over Steam. They have this policy where you can refund the game within the 2 hours of gameplay - so if you play it under 2 hours you can refund it without any questions asked. I think this is the best to test out certain games and see whether it will run on your computer and if you'll even enjoy playing them :)

I've returned games a lot on Steam. Mostly because I use first impressions on the game when I get it. If I don't like what I see in the first hour and a half, it returns to the store. I'd rather not have buyer's remorse, so I have to utilize Steam's refund service, and it comes with rules. It's gotta be 14 days or less since you got it, and it shouldn't have over 2 hours of playtime. Seems easy enough, and when I don't like it, I get full refund which I can access 24 hours later, which I will then use to get another game that I am eyeing.

I have never returned a game before. I am always very cautious when it comes to buy a game. I read all the reviews and also ask my friends for their recommendations. If one of my friends have the game, then I usually try to play the game before buying it.

Returned a few on steam that I bought on a whim but it's a rarity, I usually always do some research before I buy a game.

As long as the refund button works I'm not really worried. Steam gives you 2 hours to test the game and I think that's enough time to go through the tutorial area and learn a good deal about the game. When I like a game, I keep it. But if I don't like what I see, it's easier to just get a refund and buy something else, rather than have buyer's remorse and have to look at the game you spent for at your library for the rest of your life. I'm being dramatic but hey, my point stands.

It was only once that I returned a game I already bought. It happened because the game didn't function as expected when I took it home. Personally, I love enjoying whatever I buy with my money realizing the money is not easy coming by.

Yea I returned Crash Team Racing for my old PS1 when I was really young. The CD had a bunch of scratches on it and it would only be able to play the first race track and ended up being stuck at the loading screen ever since. Returned that pos disc game back.

I returned Lego Jurassic Park. The premise sounded really cute and humorous. I have a huge nerd-rager for monster movies of any sort, too, so this sounded like it would be right up my ally. Unfortunately, the game turned out to be very one dimensional. I wasn't expecting The Last of Us or anything, but it's literally nothing but picking up lego pieces with no real threat the entire time. I'm all for games with difficulty levels set appropriately for kids but this was straight up "turn on to win". I had little choice but to return it. Luckily Steam is pretty gracious about that sort of thing so long as you don't abuse the privilege.

I've never returned a game before, physical or digital. I've never ran into a game that was so bad that I felt the need to get my money back.

I also have done it already. I remember buying a game but the whole content was boring and dull. The moment I tried the game on my console I run to the store and asked for a refund but then the store manager said I can replace it but not getting a refund anymore. The best thing the manager let me try the game first on his console before actually accept the game.

No I never returned a game, even with the recent introduction of Steam refunds.
Well... I have tried to refund No Man's Sky since I needed a bit of money and the game was a huge disappointment, but I already played it too much. Glad I wasn't able to since it improved a lot.
Aside from that, never returned a game.

No, I have never even thought of this. I'm not sure that would even be possible in any of the stores I went to. What would I say, simply that I don't like it so I'm giving it back? I doubt that would work, as with any other stuff you buy. Maybe if I could prove that the game wasn't working... But just returning because I'm not happy with it, honestly I don't think that could happen and I never even came up with that idea. Now that I think of it, I don't think I'd actually do it even if I could. Plenty of reviews, videos, etc. so if I buy something that I'm not pleased with, it's really up to me and I shouldn't cause a problem about that.
