According to Bloomberg.com, companies like Time Warner Cable, Comcast, and Verizon may begin experimenting with video game streaming services as early as next year.
"Trials of cloud-gaming services are likely to start later this year so carriers can test and tweak the technology before wider deployments that may begin as early as 2013, said the people, who asked not to be named because the discussions are private," according to Bloomberg.
Presumably, these services would work similarly to the services that companies like OnLive provides. Considering what OnLive has been going through recently, I'm surprised that other companies would be interesting in investing in such a service. This is a rumor though, so it may never reach fruition.
