I have not tried this game yet and but ready to give it a try. My question is should I buy diablo 3? if yes, where to buy and I only want to play it as single player.

Does any one give me some advice?

Thanks
Tommy

YES! Do it. I got the Diablo 3 for free when it was first released (I think it was something to do with World of Warcraft) and I got instantly addicted. It is just so much fun. I stopped playing it when it got the expansion because I didn't want to pay the extra price (it was ridiculously overpriced at the time).

Then when PS store had one of their sales a month ago, they had the Diablo 3 with the expansion on sale for like $15 I had to get it. So now I have the whole game but on my PS4. It is really nicely optimized for consoles so if you own one, you might consider that option instead of the computer. It is really nice being able to lay in bed while grinding for gear.

Overall, it is an awesome game with plenty of things to do. You have seasons which end on certain dates - during the ''season time'' you can make seasonal characters and focus on gearing them up through bounties and greater rifts and more. They even recently just released a brand new hero class called Necromancer but I didn't buy it.

However, if you hate grinding and getting better gear then this probably won't be for you after you finish the initial storyline.

I have some questions to you.

I am checking on battle.net and see they are offering $9.99 for standard edition? Is this version for single player? and I can play it offline?
What is the difference between free and paid version of Diablo 3?
Honestly I tried to download from Origin 3 months ago and installed on my PC but I could not play it, I don't reasons why.
I wanted to try free version first before buying it in the past.

Well if you're a loyal fan then why not? There's a reason why Diablo is internationally acclaimed. So if you want to try it for yourself, then by all means try it. I'm sure you will enjoy every second of it.

The standard version that you're looking at is the base game. This means it is only Diablo 3 and not the expansion. No, you can't play it offline (without the internet) because if you buy it through the battle.net then you have to connect to the battle.net in order to even launch the game. But you can play it singleplayer - you are never forced to group with people or anything like that. It is completely optional. EVERY Diablo game is available for single player only so no worries.

The free version of Diablo 3 is most likely just trial version. I don't know if it's perhaps just a certain level that you can try out or maybe there's a time limit on it.

Look at this link, bottom right it says ''Starter edition, try it for free'', I believe this is the trial https://us.battle.net/d3/en/purchase

Try it and see how it is. If you do decide that it's your style of game then I honestly highly recommend simply getting the Diablo 3 Battle Chest that includes Diablo 3 + Reaper of Souls. Reaper of Souls is the expansion and it added so, so many new things into the base game (from bounties to rifts and more).

Go for it. The gaming experience is lot better than earlier version. There is 9.95$ price tag on it, so not much expensive for a Diablo Fan. I am sure battle.net is likely to have it on sale soon. Not sure about the offline play with battle.net version. But from what I have seen on the twitch gameplay the game is worth giving a shot. So I'd say go for it.

Diablo 3 requires you to be connected to the net even on single player mode. I didn't like the fact that I have to be constantly connected for the game to work since I am only playing it on my own anyway. You could buy it on Blizzards website where I believe its cheaper or your local gaming store.

whoops I didn't like this too, I don't games that need to be connected to internet to play. Just curious, why Diablo 3 needs to connect to internet?
If so, I need to reconsider my decision before buying this game.

I bought it the other day and couldn't get off of it, my only problem with it is that after a couple days of in-game time it becomes quite tedious to grind all the time. Always good to go back to it though.

Was playing online, completed the acts in around 7 hours and then smashed out adventure mode, around 320 paragon currently.

You buy it off the blizzard website, cost me around £16 or so if I remember correctly.

There's no true offline mode but it's a minor detail if you don't mind that kind of thing. It's not a super engrossing game but it does have some decent replay value and is as casual or hardmode as you want it to be. I've had the game since it was released and let me tell you that it's changed a ton since that initial release. Not gonna lie my first impression at release was abysmal but it got a whole lot better fast, which is pretty good.

A lot of people like this game, and I suppose I can understand why. But me personally, I didn't really enjoy it all that much. And this is coming from somebody who played the heck out of Diablo 2 and loves it to this day. Something always just felt off to me about Diablo 3, and a lot of other people would agree. After playing Diablo 3 I went and played Torchlight II which I have to say honestly felt like a better Diablo game than Diablo 3.

I hear it's not very good. It's been out since 2012 and it's 5 years later, but I haven't played it still. I did, however, play Diablo 2 a few months ago and easily wasted 100 hours on it. Made hardcore characters and tried to finish in all difficulties, but I only got the Summonmancer through until the very end. Rest of them either died in Hell difficulty or I just lost interest because their skills weren't very well suited for the durability and resistance of the enemies in Hell mode.

There's a free trial (I think) you can download first to see if you like the gameplay at all.

Diablo 3 is more friendly to new players than Path of Exile. Anything you made whilst leveling that you don't want to now can be easily undone. You will want to have some basic game knowledge before you start rerolling things on your end-game gear at the level cap, but even if you screw up here, most gear pieces will be easily replaced with a little time.

You should know though that the end game is pretty repetitive. It's basically killing monsters to get better loot that will kill them efficiently. If this is not the type of game you want, being grindy and all, I don't think you should buy it.

If you get even a fraction of the playtime out of this game, you will have received your money's worth and then some.

And I don't think you can play it offline. They just want to do that MMORPG thing like with WoW, so no countless hours of single player like when I played Diablo 2. D2 is still a pretty good game though, and I played it recently because I got bored with my newer games. Still holds up in my opinion, and the challenge is still there to guide your character to finish hell difficulty on hardcore mode. Pretty fun stuff.
