Someone's Modding Morrowind With Skyrim's Engine

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind never looked so good before. A group of modders are attempting to update the game with Skyrim's graphics engine.

The project is called "Skywind" and is still a work in progress. The mod team is also working on moving Oblivion over to the new engine as well. New screenshots of the project were posted on the forums. You can see a few of the videos below.

Haha yes! I can't wait for this. Morrowind has always been my favourite Elder Scrolls game. I was too young to play the first two so Morrowind was really the first game I ever got into on PC. Everything looks so pretty in skyrims engine!

Lol, no. You will probably find they are game designers. It is very advanced and no "average" modder could do it. Like iHc James, Teh1337, CriagChirst etc, they are all really advanced coders.

They modified the game so people just call them Modders even though that isn't the type of people that we usually call modders.

Yea, but they will most likely be game designers/developers or really advanced modders (Like, dro, iHc James, Teh1337, GraigChirst, TGE Jesse etc).

Skywind has become much more advanced since this post was first made. The music and level design aesthetic is nothing short of astounding for an ameture project. Likewise, Bethesda's cooperation with their efforts is something that more companies could learn from as this title serves to ad value to the base game in a way that keeps it relevant years after it was first released.
