According to a leaked survey, Microsoft may be considering allowing consumers to buy and resell Xbox One digital purchases via a virtual marketplace.
In a report from GameSpot, a user from NeoGaf –– who they dubbed a known mole named “crazy buttocks on a train†or “CBOAT†–– leaked the supposed survey detailing potential scenarios in which Microsoft could allow Xbox One digital resales.
The report says the marketplace will be available through premium console subscriptions like Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus, suggesting Microsoft did not launch the survey itself but rather contracted it out through a marketing firm or a third-party publisher or retail commissioned the report.
Other details include users offering or being offered digital goods at a range of prices, with the sellers potentially facing a service fee following transactions.
According to GameSpot, “CBOAT†has successfully predicted details about Microsoft platforms in the past, but the site could not authentic the information. GameSpot has attempted to contact the poster.
Microsoft has yet to comment on the information.
