Toughts on piracy?

I think in general piracy no matter where one would apply it to, would be wrong - however there are instances where for example a government specifically censors or outright bans the ability to legally obtain specific things for any potential reason, where I'll be more okay with it.
Interesting point of view
Do you think that it is wrong because it may cost the companies?

To a point - certainly. Whether we agree to companies overcharging for literally everything or not, it's ''fair game''. They're allowed to, whether we like it or not. I think we'd be about the same upset to find someone stealing from our little corner shop and stuff, you know? In general I just think morally it's wrong also. I don't quite see the point in it, and it could also mess up statistics which help companies improve and re-think strategies for future projects. There's a lot of small little reasons which would come together into my overall ''don't do it'' opinion.
That's why most people don't pirate from idie devs
Also, you can argue that it's not really stealing it's just copying a game version
Anyway, It's worse for the paying customers who have to deal with DRM that is put in the game to stop pirates but the crakers get around it and it only affects the ppl that got the game from the actual devs

Could certainly be true. I think it's more to do with the fact the general reach of indie developers is rather small in comparison, so it's less likely that it'll attract the ''bad crowd'' of gamers. It's generally a more tight-knit community. Look at games such as Dead By Daylight - even though it absolutely blew up, you can see that the true community at it's core is very tight knit. Surely we can no longer consider BHVR ''indie'' but the nostalgia of it all is still there.

I mean. Is it really an argument to make? It's still stealing in that case.. It's in my opinion just a weak attempt to circumvent using the word ''stealing'' at that point!

The DRM is the anti temper thing.
Like on hogwarts legacy where if you close and open the game for a number of times it won't let you play anymore
