I remember playing Resident Evil 3 as a kid (while watching another playthrough in another save file by my cousin) when the (SPOILERS) ending boss fight appeared. For background, the government's plan to solve the zombie problem plaguing Racoon City was to drop a nuke on it so everything dies. You now have a timed clock to get to the escape helicopter and save yourself from the blast, while being chased by Nemesis, the titular enemy boss character, while a much more powerful variant comes along in the final area to prevent you from escaping - or does it?
You get an option to either run away or fight the final boss in the final area under the time given before the missile strikes. If you choose to not fight, then that's it, game over, you still win. Talk about anticlimactic.
