Where do you purchase your hardware for your computer at?

NewEgg for me. It's really popular and I usually don't get screwed over.

I try to purchase local as much as possible. This way I can take care of the returns and also have less loss if any material purchased requires returns.However some of the time I have managed to purchase through Amazon. Ebay is another place but not many good sellers there. So I just use the ones which are good for the hardware sales with less negative feedback.

The thing is it seems like there are almost ZERO local hardware places that aren't big box retailers like BestBuy. Majority of computer parts are sold primarily online direct to consumer, but that creates a situation where no true local computer shops open up. And the ones that do? Well at least in my town they are all apple only shops and charge 100% the price.

You see, I'm planning on building my own gaming PC and in order to enjoy it as much as possible I'm willing to pay top dollar for the newest of everything. Would you guys know where to go or what website? Thanks.

Back in Australia I used two online store that where, pc case gear and centercom they are very good and low cost for hardware and fast shipping. Now in the UK I tend to look at allot and overclockers is only 80 miles away from me and so I tend to look at there website for items.

Yet Amazon can be the best for all ins and out regards to items

If you have Amazon Prime (totally recommend getting this either way), Amazon is a great place to look. I helped one of the fellow members of community look for school laptops on there as well as parts for myself. Works amazing as a search engine. If you find something on amazon you like, go search and see if you can find it cheaper on Newegg/Tiger Direct or somewhere else. If not buy it from Amazon.

I also prefer a physical shop rather than an online one. I guess I'm a little old fashioned that way. I have access to some pretty decent local computer hardware store, but my favorite is to take a one hour drive to the big city to these gigantic digital malls that are like 10 stories high and go shopping (ikr, ewww!). I usually do some in depth research online have go to the mall with quite a clear idea on what I am after and then make my final decision when I have looked at or, whenever possible, tried the actual product.

Mostly in the computer shops in my city. I don't order any of the components and stuff like that online, since it is not that reliable. At least not in my country. To be honest I haven't bought anything for a long time, but it is time for me to change my PC soon, and I am planning on buying something new. And when the time comes it will probably be in some computer store here in the city.

Here in my country aren't too many local stores from where i can buy a hardware for my PC. We have only few stores, but the principal and the best one is PCgarage. You can buy anything you need for your Pc from this store, absolutly anything and they offers warranty on any piece, besides that the price is not that high either!

Physical stores like Best Buy are always overpriced and don't have good enough hardware for me. I usually go on PCPartpicker and just look for which part is cheapest. Most of the time though I just use Amazon since I have the prime 2-day shipping.

There's a store near me that has updated hardware and even has connections to US and Japan. So if I ever need a specific piece of hardware, I would just ask them and if they don't have it, I'll leave a deposit so they can get one from their stores in Japan and US. It's pretty neat, I don't have to search all over the city when I can get everything - on discounted price - at the store. I guess loyalty is their main plus, so those who buy from them frequently would get rewarded with early access and discounts.

Thankfully I regularly get gift cards from online earning in Amazon and PayPal, and just search, research, and lurk for deals on those two. I got a used pc last year and finally a 1050ti from Amazon recently, using their Amazon Cash promo along with many gift cards.

I don't think I can trust the online shops enough to buy expensive items like computer parts. What if they break? Do they have warranties that you get when you buy from shops in your area? I think that's my main concern so I buy locally. When it breaks, I have the assurance that they will replace it; if I buy it from someone online, I won't hear from them ever again after the money has been exchanged.

I bought my current PC hardware from a variety of sites using PCpartpicker just based on the lowest prices. I bought from SuperBiiz, Newegg, and Amazon Primarily. I have been using Newegg for years though as they usually have decent prices and do a good job with packaging as well.

There are some computer stores here and I do get what I need most of the times. However if there is something that I don't get then I usually buy online.

I have never tried purchasing out of the country. I'm very skeptical, maybe because I haven't tried buying pc parts from other stores instead of the ones in our country. I bought my rig and it's parts from a big computer store somewhere in the north part of our country.

I generally get my hardware from Newegg or Best Buy, depending on who has the better deal. However, if I can find something comparable on Amazon, I'm not opposed to getting my hardware there either. I've got a Prime membership, so the stuff could be at my door in two days tops, and Amazon has a great track record for returns in my experience. Very low hassle dealing with customer service through them should the need arise.
