Do you bet on games?

You can returm but maybe after loosing everything, the majority of people take it easy in the begining but it's not like what we see in movies right, this is real and it cause only problems.

That's why I used the word "probably"... The return exists, but it's unlikely.

In my earlier days I bet on Dota 2, but only with in-game items and sets. I never payed real money to bet. Items and sets that I bet were all gained from playing the game, and as gifts, because I usually don't spend money on buying items. My opinion is, its not a good thing to spend money on, but on the other side, its same as betting on any other sport or going to a casino. Its just a matter of opinion.

You have a good point here. But in my case, I don't like betting on any kind of game or sport.

Well I think there is a kind of bet I accept when it comes to games and friends. It is fun when you bet the loser has to buy dinner or even make the dinner or do something stupid lol. But not money.

I did do some "gambling" back then on DotA 2. Its exciting and really gets you invested in the game. I don't recommend it to anyone though and would only try it if I have extra money lying around.

That's the way gambling work, to keep you trying no matter if you win or you lose. And the worst thing is if you have a family, wife and kids just imagine the way you will live in that situation. There is a place in USA ( i forgot the name ) where homeless people live, they lost everything just because of gambling, now they blame themselves and they wish if they never tried that gambling ever.

Damn, it goes that far? I mean here in Brazil gambling per se is forbidden. Poker is "legal" because they claim it's not about luck only but skill also plays a good part but still, it is frowned upon by most of the population. I love a good game of poker. I sometimes play for money and while I have won some I have lost a lot too. Sad to hear there is a place full of people that lost everything for a dream that never came true

Yes we do bet in games and this started when I was a kid, the one at stake is our snack prepared by our parents. lol, so sometimes I cry during snack time at school because I dont have something to eat. Now that I am grown up, We game with a few dollars. It motivates us to play better .

I place bets on video game sessions with my brother all the time, but it is never with actual money. We do what you could sort call wholesome bets, I suppose. Before we play a game we often make a bet like, loser buys the winner food or a beer , or the loser has to eat a super hot pepper or chug their drink. I'm not a fan of gambling with money as I find it more stressful than fun, but putting some real life consequences on the line when playing a video game is actually a fun way to spice things up.

When I decide to enter into some kind of bet, without money (whatever be the subject), I only get in when I have a certain advantage in the situation. I always want to win (or at least, be na awesome opponent)! :tonguewink:

I never bet on games, I don't find it interesting and for me it's a waste of money or anything in return if you lost the game. When betting on a game, you can also get addicted to it to the point you'll bet all your properties. And once you lose everything, that's when you realize you made a bad decision in your life. Totally true. Some games give you a better chance of winning but at the end of the day gambling is gambling and you have to watch out for it. I don't think I'd have gone to the point of betting all my properties but I did have a little issue with poker a while back then haha.

It's okay if you play poker for fun, but don't put your money in risk, just think with me for a while, do you think that if those gambling places like casino or something else will still open until now if it's depend on luck only to win. I don't think so, that system built only by cheating.

Oh yeah, i know now. Nowadays I like to separate a part of my budget to this something like 10 dollars. I can still play and I won't risk losing everything. Once those 10 dollars are over I am done. Next month I might or might not put more but never over 10 bucks. Nowadays I have the strength to know when to quit but back then it was a whole different story.

I used to bet on Dota 2. But I am not seeing any profits. Although my bets were not that big. Lol. Probably below a dollar or more. Maybe I just am bad on betting x.x But my friends are getting much when they bet. But they bet big time though. Not a dollar or some coins, they bet huge amounts.

I actually have and I did so regularly during my early teen years. Defense of the Ancients is a really popular game here and a lot of people would play it competitively with real life money involved. What I did back then was I would bet on a team so they would be able to play with no money involved (I was sponsoring a few members in a way), but if they win, I keep the money. It's a win-win because they get to do what they love doing and I'm only in it for the money lol.

I have played slot games in casino's which they are a type of video game nowadays if you want to count that") I never bet real money on a video game, however, I have bet in game gold on games, like I bet 1,000 gold I reach the next level then one of my friends. some times I win most of the time I lose lol. I also played games that had gambling games inside of them.
