Hello guys!

So I had always been a fan of RPG games, I think they really make you bond with your team and it's also a ton of fun.

Being someone else for a little while is almost freeing and plus you get to be cool characters such as vampires or wizards.

Do you play RPG games? if so which one do you play? and for how long you've been playing them?

I think RPG games are one of the best genres of games because it really immerses you into the game as someone or something that you aren't and to me that's very cool. I am currently playing the elder scrolls and it's a blast honestly. I would say I have been playing RPG games since I was very young!

I have been playing Diablo II since the first time I was introduced to it back in 2004, it has been more than 13 years and I still remember the feeling in my gut, I remember being guided step by step by my big brother, telling me how to move my mouse, which character was the best, how to use the mouse to guide the character to move, etc. Even though I have explored every single thing in that game, every now and then i still pick it up and just marathon through it again, good times.

Well, I don't like all RPG games. Although they can be very enjoyable if it's matched with nice gameplay. I started playing them when I was really young. With RPG games, you're a little more involved with the characters compared to other genres. The best thing, in my opinion, is finding like minded players who are equally involved like you. Makes for fantastic gameplay!

Would you give a positive rating on Elder Scrolls? I've heard mixed reviews on that game. But I'm tempted to try it out.

I love RPG games. They are like a book with each titles having their own story. I have been playing quite a lot of RPG games and they are immersive. I easily spent over a hundred hours playing FF7 even after I beat the game to get the items that i missed out.

I thoroughly enjoy RPG's for their massive and unique worlds that each game offers. I've lost count of how many hours of FO3, Fallout: New Vegas & Skyrim that i've played and once mods are added into the mix you can get countless more hours out of the already amazing games.

I played Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) which is what i'm assuming you're speaking about and I liked it myself however like you said certain people have reported to not like the game due to various reasons. I think with ESO it's a matter of wether you really enjoy the elder scrolls franchise or not.

I often play D&D with some friends! I host and have fun with all my friends. We don't dress up or any of that but we do it mostly online. I give a detailed scenario and tell them what there is in the room and they decide what to do! It's really fun and personally, I believe that D&D is the best RPG styled game there is! You can play that game online and offline!

I really don't know about RPG games but I will definitely wish to try it out. Tell me all about it, what it's like because from how you explained about being another character and some of the replies I read on the post, I am now curious to know more.

Also tell me how to go about getting or playing the game, as game is 60% my life I can't let this one slide past me.

That all depends on what game you would like to get @Heatman. There are many different RPG games that you can buy and purchase on Steam. If you don't know what steam is, it's a network where you can buy digital copies of games on an account that you've created. You would download and install then launch the game! But if you're talking about D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) well there is a starter kit that is sold in many different stores that sell board games. What's so great about the starter kit is that it gives you a campaign to play with your friends that one of you could host, and all the dice needed to play. Whereas, I get the PDF's of the different manuals instead of buying them. The only money I've spent on actually playing D&D is the few dice sets I have. In Canada, they can range to $5.00-$12.00 in price (not including tax). But you build a character that you think would be fun to personify and play the character as that character instead of you. Say you made a character who was a dwarf who loved Ale, but also had a deep rage for goblins. You would have to really act out having that deep rage when you encounter a goblin. Or say you're at a bar and they server Ale, you might have a little more to drink than maybe you should. You take over a new person completely that would make sense with their world and their previous life before you started playing him/her (Making a backstory is really fun). What I love about D&D and many different other RPG games is that it's a huge story that you choose the outcome of every situation. You choose whether you pickpocket the prison guard to help your friend escape, or it's up to you if you want to give money to a homeless person. It's a huge interactive story that you are a big part of.

I hope this helps @Heatman! Have fun playing your next RPG! ^-^

Definitely do! My main RPG game as of now is World of Warcraft. I am playing on a private server. But before WoW, I was hooked into this MMORPG game called Ragnarok Online and I really enjoyed the times that I have spent playing that game. :')

How is this even a question? Of course, I play RPGs! They're my favorite genre. I have been in love with them for years and years. I can't even remember which game was the first proper RPG that I've played but they're just amazing. You can invest so much time into them, they always have great story and characters, tons of quests and activities... what more could you possibly want?

There are many great RPGs that I loved playing;
- The Witcher franchise,
- Mass Effect 1, 2,
- The Elder Scrolls franchise,
- Fallout franchise,
- Final Fantasy franchise,
- and more.

Well if you like RPG just because you can be a vampire or a wizard then I could say that almost any game is technically a RPG: in every game you are "roleplaying", because you are somewhere else. In game where you create your character is of course more obvious, but you also play a role whenever you play as, I dunno, Lara Croft. You play as her, basically.
Speaking of what we consider proper RPGs, I like most of them, both western and JRPG. From various Final Fantasy to Mass Effect, from Undertale to Ys - and yes, I also love action RPGs. Maybe even more than regular ones, since I'm not really a fan of turn based combat (except in games where it's done right like Undertale and Child of Light).

I spent a lot of my gaming days in my teens to play RPG games. These gaming days included the PS 1 and PS 2 eras, consoles which were known for their awesome collection of RPGs.

During these days, I have played a lot of great RPG games like Legend of Dragoon, Xenogears, Final Fantasy 7 to 12, Grandia, Legend of Legaia, Rogue Galaxy, Vagrant Story, and Persona among many others. Each RPG allowed me to roam around freely in beautiful fantasy worlds that captured my imagination. It was so easy to get lost and so absorbed in the game world by exploring villages, talking to each and every NPC, running through the woods, walking by the beach, collecting items... RPGs were the perfect escape from reality that I craved for as a teen.

I'm a full fledged adult now. And I still hold RPGs close to my heart. But I can't play them as I did in the past. My sense of wonder playing RPGs has greatly diminished. And I can't focus as much time to them now as I could in the past.

I love RPG games I can get lost in RPG games forever. I have over 800+ hours on Oblivion, it's one of my all time favorite games.

I had to give up most games so I am not playing any rpgs right now. Gaming was my life I was addicted to it and I and I have since cut back to just 1 game and I spend 1~3hrs a day playing it.

Hmm, is there a * yeah option? lol. Anyway I've been into RPGs into... well as long as I've been playing games. It feels like I'm one of the few who expects there to be a proper story of some sort instead of the endless barrage of shooters out there. Plus RPGs are more capable of having more unique combat options than any other genre I know of.
As for wha Im playing- well I still have work in FF type 0 and xenoblade chronicles X (collecting every superweapon is going to take at least a hundred hours then even more before I can use one lol) then I got a few more Final Fantasies I havent finished yet either.
