Strategy Books, Sites, and Videos - Are they making it less a challenge?

When things are where I haven't a clue, I might want help. However, though, I find that any help at all is unwelcome. It lowers the fun of the game by a huge amount.

The "how Did I Beat This As A Kid" Moment.

The original Mario games seemed much harder as a kid and it's sort of a big let down. I mean, if it's easier, then it isn't as fun. Therefore, in that case, it could be said some of those games are - for kids, or at least mostly for kids. Anyway, one game I found massively difficult as a kid...

Why buy new when used is available?

I think wanting the best stuff can be good and bad. I mean, I like the best stuff sometimes. For instance, I am willing to pay more for premium forum software. However, though, there are cases where I would prefer to buy lesser stuff, like a used vehicle, (maybe even one from the 90s). It's...

    Gaming Rarely

I don't want to be judgemental, but I find it odd people can play for 14+ hrs a day. It just seems alien to me. But I'm all for human freedom.

Influence Of Video Games On Children

Some have said the same thing about parents who send their kids to a private and/or military school. Well, I mean, didn't they threaten either Bill or Ted with that (Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure)? However, it seemed his dad was a good one, but maybe he was too strict - causing a rebel...

Super Mario Galaxy I and II

Which one do you enjoy better (if you like them at all)? I think I like both equally well, but I haven't had a chance to master most of the 2nd one. Anyway, these two (in regards to Wii games) are definitely the ones I most enjoy playing - but I might also throw Donkey Kong Country in there...

The Fall of Sega (the console)

It had a highly marketable name and big customer base. In that case, do you feel its fall was highly preventable? What do you think caused the problem?

Name the Nintendo Switch games you enjoy.

I haven't gotten to play it, so I don't really know. Anyway, of all that you enjoy, what one/ones do you like the most? Also, even if you haven't played the Switch, what games do you think you'd like?

Wii U Going Down in Value

Of course, some good places would be Amazon and eBay. The fact remains, though, that Wii U games cannot play on a Wii. In that case, what good is the original Wii when you can have the other?

    Gaming is Childish

They came from the video game age. Note, video games (Atari) started around 1976.

WHO HERE REMEMBERS THE COMMODORE 64?

It was sort of from my time (as a child) but I don't remember it at all. Anyway, considering Atari was so simple, how much more advanced could Commodore have been? Well, I know it couldn't have been 3D cause that didn't come about until Nintendo 64, I think.

What video game console did you spend most of your childhood with?

For my childhood years, it was Atari, Nintendo, Apple Computer, and SuperNintendo. For my teenage years, they had Nintendo 64, I think Game Cube, and various Sega systems. Anyway, I'm sure the Game Boy was also around but I never played it.

Wii U Going Down in Value

Well, of course, since it's now discontinued in favor of The Switch. Anyway, how cheap can you get them? Where can you get them?

    The Modern Controller

The original Nintendo had what I would say was the first modern controller. Note, at the time, the other systems Atari or Apple used weird controllers that were nothing like what we see today. For instance, the Atari one was gripped with your hand.

Your Favorite 80s or Early 90s PC Game

I liked this Apple game where you use a plane to bomb Japanese held islands in World War II. It was pretty cool stuff, considering that at the time graphics were very simple. Anyway, despite the time, the graphics didn't seem very simple, but probably it was some sort of intentional illusion.

Why buy new when used is available?

There might be people into high-class stuff who only want new - as in new clothes, new games etc.. However, the quality of a mint condition used game might be as high as for the opposite. In that case, why throw money away?

    Gaming is Childish

Some cynics, particularly from an older generation, might think gaming is only for kids. However, though, nowadays, that idea seems silly as I think most gamers are adults. Am I correct?

    Gaming Rarely

I normally only do gaming when my nephew comes over. In fact, I hardly game at all. However, though, when it snowed the year before last, I got quite a bit into Super Mario Galaxy. Anyway, what keeps some of you from gaming that much?
  19. GameCube

    Your Favorite Sega Game

Mine would have been Sonic Spinball on the basic one and this motorcycle and racing one on a more advanced one I had. Anyway, though, for the basic one, the original Sonic was fun also, but not as much as Spinball. However, then again, I didn't play the original Sonic that much.

How long before you replace your computer?

I'm not sure and, I don't want to jinx myself, but my eMachines desktop has worked since I bought it new in 2011. Therefore, I think a desktop, at least, can last quite a number of years, assuming it's not externally damaged and well-taken care of regarding viruses, malware, and system cleaning.
